Currently employed with PAK-ARAB REFINERY LIMITED (PARCO) from 20 Jan

2011 to date in Inspection Department working at state of art 100000 BPSD Mid
Country Refinery.

Current job responsibilities

Condition moniroring of rotating and stationary equipments in plant such as

Centrifugal Pumps, Centrifugal Compressors, Multistage Reciprocating compressors, Dozing pumps,

Syndyne Pumps, Screw Pumps, Lube Oil Pumps, Submersible Pumps, Diaphragm Pumps, , Air
Blowers, Air Fin Coolers, Turbines, Motors, Heaters, Reactors, Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers,
Tanks, Piping etc

Working as Area Engineer (Inspection) and Acting Group Head Inspection (Additional
responsibility) and supervising inspection activities of main Process Areas / Units of refinery
such as Diesel Max, Platformer Unit, CCR Unit, NHT, Amine Treating Unit, Kerosene Merox
Unit, LPG Merox Unit, DHDS and AABU. My responsibilities are.

1) Looking after training requirements of Inspection Engineers and Technologists. Looking after
KPI of inspection Section. Review inspection Reports, QRI, Survice Requisutions , Purchase
Requisition and to carry Technical Evaluation of SR and PR.

2) To select and Implement Advance Inspection Techniques on equipments where required.

3) Implementation of inspection plans for Stationary and Rotary equipments in Process area.

4) To look after budget requirements of Inspection Section.

5) To coordinate internal and exterbal Audit requirements of Inspection Section.

6) Supervise routine inspection activities related to condition monitoring of stationary

equipments, piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks etc
and suggest corrective measures where necessary.

7) Supervise rotary equipment vibration schedule, review and carry out analysis of the collected
data with CSI-2130 and CSI-2120. Develop database to monitor trends and recommend
actions as part of predictive maintenance activity.

8) Perform detailed inspection investigations and evaluations on abnormalities, and initiate

plans and measures for determining the causes of such abnormalities.

9) Conduct the inspection activities according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

10) Regularly check and review the inspection results and findings for all Inspection Jobs.

11) Develop; recommend changes and improvements in written procedures, working standards,
and work documents related to Rotary and stationary inspection function.

12) Continually maintain a methodical system of compiling or recording inspection results, and
monitor and update equipment inspection history records.

13) Preparation and issuance of inspection reports with findings/Observations, possible causes /
analysis and recommended remedial actions to be taken.

14) Proper utilization of inspection supplies and materials to prevent unwarranted interruption of
inspection work activities. Periodically conducts reviews and checking of established
stocking level for inspection supplies and materials against actual consumption rates and as
required, prepares and submits to his superior for the necessary/corrective/improvement
actions.

15) Ensure that inspection tools, equipment and instruments are maintained and accounted for.

16) Plans and develops own work methods, under the guidance of immediate supervisor.

17) Supervise contractors staff engaged for shutdown and Turnaround maintenance.

18) Daily report writing of schedule activities and jobs performed against notifications.

19) Issuance of recommendations against notifications and observations during schedule

inspection activities.

20) Preparations of monthly progress report, completions report and planned activities report.

21) Inspection of Lifting Equipments and accessories.

22) NDT Inspection, Hydrotesting, report writing and other Inspection Activities.

23) SAP Applications.

24) Coordinating Quality Related Incidents (QRI) and Incident Reports Systems (IRS) related to
Inspection Department.

General inspection of heaters (Box & Radial Type)
