Objectives of the study


The main objective of this study is broken down to the following sub-objectives with a view to
answering the research questions accordingly:-

1. To find out whether technology can positively deliver transactional, traditional, and
transformational Human Resource activities for organizational efficiency and effectiveness?
Situation Description

1. Customer Care Department


From employees perspective:

OD/Leave/Paid Leaves: Done through manual process. No use of HRMS Leave &
Attendance module.
Only used for Regularization of attendance.

From Management perspective:

CC department maintains a separate Google sheet for employee comp-off


manually. Integration of Comp-off to HRMS leave module is not done properly.
Issues with access rights. A team lead can only access data regarding attendance
and leaves for his/her employees.
A lot of manual errors are visible in the system for integration of cc employees
attendance and leaves.
No provision for stipend employee attendance in HRMS
Viewing option problems- No. of employee viewing changes once the page is
changed. ( changes to default 10 once page is changed)
Recruitment process is done manually.
For training requirement CC department maintains a separate Google sheet in
which KPIs are updated for each employees
Exit interview data is not available to CC department.
In case of any absconding/ Leave CC employee, CC department should be given
access rights in HRMS to block the concerned employee status and issue
notification to concerned departments POC for further actions.
No defined induction process for CC employees.
