Joint statement from the Nevada Congressional Delegation

October 6, 2017

The devastating events of October 1st weigh heavily on our minds. Together we mourn for the victims
and their families and pray for the recovery of the injured. We also pray that everyone affected finds
strength and peace in this time of profound sadness.

Through all of the horror and chaos, so many heartwarming stories of heroism, bravery, and selflessness
emerged. Accordingly, we would like to deeply thank all of our first responders, area hospitals and the
numerous people who provided aid, comfort and safety to the fallen, despite being in danger
themselves.

Nevada is our home, and Las Vegas is a beautiful community with a great sense of unity and pride. We
are honored to serve the people of this great state and to serve as ambassadors to the millions who visit
Nevada each year.

May God bless those who have suffered pain and loss. God bless those who risked their own lives to
save others, and may God bless Las Vegas.

We stand together, today, #VegasStrong.
