READING
A. Read the passage and complete the following statements with the correct answers
(weight @1).

Nowadays, convenient stores and supermarkets gradually replace traditional markets. It

is caused because practicality is more necessary in the modern life. However, both market and
supermarket have its own features.
On a beautiful day when you want to go out and talk with somebody, you can go to
markets. You can talk with the sellers, ask them about the goods, the prices of goods or just ask
them how they are. If you have good relations with the sellers, you can ask them for a discount.
They may give you some good advices and necessary information. But sometimes you will be
disturbed by their invitations with insistence and asked to buy their goods and they will be angry
if you just ask without buying anything. Moreover, goods and trades in the markets depend on lot
of things such as the weather, sale time or even sellers moods.
In contrast, in a supermarket, you can enjoy your free time for shopping and relax
yourself in smooth melodies without any disturbance from anyone. You can even go around, see
the goods and buy nothing. Nobody can complain you anything. In hot summer days or cold
winter days, big supermarkets are places for walking. And if you are not good at bidding for the
prices, supermarkets are your best choice
At last, traditional markets and supermarkets are different from each other. There are
many things which are only found at markets such as local traditional goods or heirloom, and in
the other side, there are a lot of things such as some newest modern goods are easily found in
supermarket. However, markets and supermarkets cannot be separated. The number of markets
and supermarket and the equality between them may change, but they always exist together.
