Summary of Results
About 39% of respondents said they are ages 18-29. However, a majority of the people who
took the survey were 30 years of age or older ranking at 53% of the users when added up
(orange and green). These results give a wide range in the age of users which might correlate
to their knowledge of gardening.

There were more males than females who took this survey. The survey was randomly
distributed and these results only serve for demographic purposes. However, the fact that the
ratio is 2:3 tells us that gender will not play a role when designing the actual website.
The majority of our surveys users originated from the Monterey Peninsula with 43.5%
followed by Salinas Valley at 19.6% and Santa Cruz with 10.9%. With the survey
originating from the Monterey Peninsula area the users for the survey may of impacted
the results.

A majority of our survey users have had at least some experience when it comes to
gardening which all adds up to 72.3%. The remaining 27.7% users had no previous
gardening experience. Even though almost a third of the respondents said they have no
gardening experience, it is still a good idea to make the site user-friendly to site visitors
with no experience gardening.
The result of 39.6% for desktop users and 39.6% for mobile users website were
informative. The data provides useful information to help understand accessibility for our
websites development with the understanding that majority of the users will be visiting
the mobile site on a smartphones or tablet device.

Facebook and Youtube appear to be the social media platform dominants and will be a
key towards our success of implementing web 2.0 features to the website.
Re-blogging platform to concentrate on is Facebook with a result of 48.1% from our
survey user samples.

that website than to have mail constantly cluttering their inbox.

Majority 51% prefer to receive their gardening information from Friends and Family. Published
articles with 38.8% with local Gardening centers and Videos found on the internet share third
with each getting 36.7%. The data shows that providing information for their clients can translate
into information being shared with friends and family and in result to driving more clients to their
website and services. Providing way to contact at their local gardening centers (if allowed) or
generating video content for customers can also drive people to the website.

The survey users found that the website was Informative and User Friendly. This could be
because of its simple yet informative structure.

The responses were mainly directed to the websites weak personal aspect, they would like the
company to have some sort of a blog to update the user's (43.8%) . Users (25%) would like to
be able to contribute to the content available on the website or possibly interact with one
another (29.2%). This website would definitely be more successful if the user could feel
included and have a sense of community.
The results appear to be a split between desktop and smartphone. The results can be
skewed due to the fact how the survey was administered. For an example some of the
surveyors were asked on the spot to take the survey and a smartphone was the device
of choice to access and to complete the survey.

The data from this question is based on individual responses and does not reflect the
methods of a group of users. The data provided is only valued by the specific user.
Summary of results
With a variety of random respondents, the Native Revival Nursery site would benefit
from having a blog. This feature could be give users an opportunity to add comments
and it would certainly create a better and stronger sense of community. As a plant
nursery site and based on feedback from the users who took the survey,
user-interactivity and communication is strongly desired by the majority. Site visitors
certainly would like to want to see as much information about the photos as they
possibly can. It was great getting a wide variety of responses because of the fact that
this information can help us to figure out what features our site should have, and
different ideas on what needs to be on the actual website. NRNs must have is a blog,
should have a community forum, and could have included ways for users to collaborate.
