1. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following posts in the prescribed
format given at Annexure-I so as to reach Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard
Visakhapatnam - 530 014 within 30 (Thirty) days from the date of publication of this
advertisement. The last date for receipt of application from candidates residing in North
Eastern States, Sikkim, J&K, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba district
of Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands or abroad is 15 (Fifteen)
days thereafter.

(iv) Relaxation as per Govt, rules that every "Ex.servicemen who has put in not less
than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union shall be
allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age and if the
resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post for
which he seeks appointment by more than three years in addition to the caste
relaxation mentioned above {(i)/(ii)}

Naval Dockyard - All the eligible candidates are required to appear for the 100 marks Written
Examination and Interview for 20 marks. The examination date/time and venue will be
informed to the eligible candidates separately.

IMPORTANT
Qualifying Marks to be called for interview for un-reserved category 50% and 40% for
reserved categories against reserved posts. Naval Dockyard
Due consideration would be given to available additional PwDs in trades where deficiency of
PwD existing for respective discipline.
Appointment of selected candidates shall be subject to availability of vacancies at ND(V).
Special Safety Services, Navigational Repair Workshop including out station establishments

Mere appearing/qualifying in the examination/interview does not confer any right on the
candidate to claim for appointment unless he fulfills the eligibility criteria.

(E) Final Section of candidates will be based on over all merit based on Written
Examination and Interview.

3. General Instructions to the candidates: -

The Candidates are to fill up the application in duplicate as per prescribed format and forward
original application to the Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatam-530 014
and bring duplicate application along with him to the examination venue. CANDIDATES
WITHOUT DUPLICATE APPLICATION FORM AND IDENTITY CERTIFICATE AFFIXING
PHOTOGRAPH DULY ATTESTED BY A GAZETTED OFFICER WITH STAMP WILL NOT
BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR IN THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION.

The photographs and Xerox copy of certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer are to be
enclosed along with application form. Unemployed SC/ST candidates are entitled for 2nd
class rail fare as per Govt, rules and the same will be re-imbursed at the venue of
examination on submission of tickets along with unemployment certificate (issued by
Gazetted Officer).

The SC/ST candidates should enclose copy of caste certificate duly attested by a Gazetted
Officer for claiming age/other relaxation and produce original certificate on demand. OBC
candidates are required to submit creamy layer certificate issued by the Competent Revenue
Authority not below the rank of Tahasildar/Mandal Revenue Officer/ Revenue Divisional
Officer as prescribed vide OM No. 36012/22/93 - Estt (SCT) dated 08 Sep 93 as amended
vide OM No. 36033/3/2004/Estt(Res) dated 09 Mar 2004. Reservation for Persons with
Disabilities is admissible only for those who suffer from not less than 40 per cent of relevant
disability. The candidates are to enclose PwD certificate indicating percentage of disability
issued by the competent medical authority.

The period of experience should be in the relevant discipline/area of work and it shall be
counted after the date of acquiring the essential qualifications.
Application should be sent by ordinary post. Department is not responsible for any postal
delay in receipt of application

Applicants who are in Govt, service should apply through proper channel. However, they can
forward an advance copy.

Candidates are liable to serve in any Naval Unit within Eastern Naval Command including
Andaman & Nicobar Islands and with All India Service Liability.

The candidates selected will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme as
introduced by the Govt, of India with effect from 01 Jan 2004.

Original Certificates shall not be sent, only attested copies of certificates are to be enclosed,

The application form should be filled in CAPITAL LETTERS only.

Applications received not in accordance with general instructions, qualifications and without
enclosures will be summarily rejected and will not be called for Written examination, (p) No
correspondence will be entertained on candidature of applicants not called for Written
Examination.
