INTRODUCTION OF MARKETING PLANS

In logic, the main reason to run a business is just to gain back the capital including the
profits. Nobody in this world that want to invest on something but at the end did not gain
anything. Since this, we can see how important marketing in any kind of business. As we
can see, marketing plans give an important role to run a business and it is one of the most
effective ways to promote our product.
People always want to see new products coming through their eyes and ears. By
promoting our product, they can basically see the new product which our company try to
invest. Marketing includes activities such as the assessment and satisfaction of present and
potential customers, determining prices and pricing policies, developing distribution
strategies, and also communicating with customers. This kind of work cannot be done alone.
Instead, there must be participants from all group members of all departments. Thus, this is
clear to say that any of our companys members should participate in this marketing.

is different from other cloth brands out there in the market as our product are
unique, style and never-before-seen service in this field. This company too, focusing on the shirt
production in the area of Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. We will not only focusing on the domestic
needs, but we also venture into others prospect in this industries.

In our local product too, we provide the quality and comfortable shirt for those who want to and
where to get. Understanding these needs and wants of the population in Malaysia, especially in
our target population which is the potential customers in that reside in the Kuala Lumpur area,
we decide to make a business to fulfill this demands and needs of printing services for our
quality and comfortable shirt.

Besides providing a good quality product and utilities in our printing services for the satisfaction
of our customer, our company also will offer our products sell for parties service usually made
for important ceremony such as family day, birthday parties and other events. This not only
attracts our customers to choose our product but at the same time can increase our business
income. This is recommended to some customers since they have their own preferences and
thus, we provide those services to them. This could be as our competitive advantage to our
company.

1. TARGET MARKET

As a newborn in this industry, it is been difficult for us to identify specific area as our
distribution target for the purpose of distributing and marketing our local T-shirt to the market. As
the target market, that is the essential part in marketing section since it is the target to distribute
our sales. It is important to our company in order to make proper marketing strategy to achieve
our goal and will becoming easier to manage and run our business.

In ensuring our aim to gain profit in this market, our business had to focus the quality
product. Keep in mind, quality is more important than quantity. No matter how good the design,
but if the qualify material of shirts are not good, we wont able to get good testimony from
customer. People buying shirt not just because of the design, but it need to fits other
requirement such size, the material and price. Everything must be just right.

Thus, in order for us to distribute our product successfully in the market, there are one
strategy that we have been identified to make sure that the marketing will run smoothly. The
strategy is known as market segmentation. It helps our company to clarify our product based on
the demographic and geographic.

Demographic Segmentation:

Demographic is a part of our important segment distribute the market of our product. It will be
easy and suitable for us for target market that can be school, universities, organizations and

For the geographic, our company take place first in Kuala Lumpur and predicted to expand to
the nearest states includes Johor and Selangor. Kuala Lumpur is the best place because it has
a high demand place to promote product to local and tourists. This also can be an opportunity to
us to attract tourist with our local product design. Usually in Kuala Lumpur had so much event
that can promote our product to customers

2. MARKET SIZE

Market size is total potential purchase that is expected from the target market. Estimation of
market size required information regarding the particular market the business intends to
enter. The potential purchase includes purchase of the competitor within the same market.

Malaysia has upside down income area that still has a lot of potential. Malaysia is made up
of fourteen states. Every each of states has its own potential. Since we are also serving for
online buying, there is no problem for us to identify the size of market because it has a very
huge of market size.

Since our company is at Kuala Lumpur, we are also concerning about the market size
surround here. Kuala Lumpur is a high income area with a lot of potential. The area located
near Setapak with a lot of shop, schools, restaurants nearby that are being highly used as a
leisure area that offer product for high, middle, and low income people. Furthermore,

designed for every age. Our products were designed to bring the customers through a
comforting by letting the customers experience our design and even they can show some
creativity via creating their own design. With our expertise in designing that are increasing in
demand by elderly, young, youth, and also children. With the variety of design that we have
and also the custom-made designs, we are actually fulfill the needs and wants of people.
Lastly, our design that brings new colures to the fashions and styles will attract more people
in coming days.

Through the surveys that we have done beforehand, we target a total of 20% of the total
population of Setapak and nearby places to use our products, whereas 55% from all
Malaysia will consume our products. This is a great way to start our business since these
20% and 75% respectively will be our indirect ambassador to other people who have not
used our products yet. In the long-run, we target for 40%-50% of the whole population of
Setapak and 70%-85% of the all Malaysia to use our products either frequently or rarely.

COMPETITORS:

Competitors refer to the offer similar, substitute or alternative products or services to the
same target market. This is important for us to identify any others competitors strength and
weakness in terms of experience, the stability in the business, financial ability, target market
and differentiation, etc. This is to prepare our company to be ready to compete with all the
competitors and become competitive advantage in the market.

We have conducted some survey on the available competitors within the scope of our
business and we have identified three most close competitors to our company. Below are all
our competitors for our company which is brand Padini, Polo and Brands Outlet. A high
demand in design and quality brand opened our mind to develop this never-before-seen
concept.

2) SALES FORECAST

The sales output will be conservative in the first year in order to fulfill the set targets. The
sales forecast will be divided on the basis of the two factors that graphic design and the
product type. The sales will be performed directly on the website portal or go through in our
shop. The directions for the usage of the site will be easy to understand so that the
customer will not get frustrated.

The T-shirt will also incorporate the technique for boosting the sales. The priority is
extraordinary customer service. The second technique is to fulfill the order giving the
customer a feeling of furnished product and giving the customer a sense that the business is
meant for customer. Sales can be enhanced by providing high quality products.

The sales forecast is reasonably conservative so that goal will be achievable. Sales will

slow initially, a function of the fact that is start up organization and it will

Marketing strategy is one of the important elements to market the provided products. The
organization must use many strategies to promote our products to the customer. To

marketing strategies that we use in term to our services to market level are:

Furthermore, we also give customers right to choose whatever design they want and they even
can make their own design since us also having custom-made design. We also have own brand
so that customers know our product and will spreads to their friends and family about our

product. We used as our brand. Since we are having our own brand, we
make sure that our product is fully protected and have our own copy-right.

ii.Pricing Strategy.

Our pricing strategy is cost-based pricing. This means that the prices we give to the customer
who are using our services are based on the type of materials, designs, and also services for
delivering provided to the customers plus mark-up. There is an individual price or the package
price. Individual price are the price we set based on the individual product. The price of
individual product of our shirts, basic designs, and also delivering are RM 35 for cotton shirt and
for polo shirt RM 45 whereas without delivering, the cost will be only RM 25 for cotton shirt and
RM 35 for polo shirt. We do offer promotion based on packages and also based on the number
of shirts that been ordered.

iii.Distribution Strategy.

The price of our product is the amount charged to the customer for a particular purchase.
Pricing strategies is one of the key methods to ensure the company profit. It is because the
price will influence customers to buy our product. Our company pricing strategies are divided
into three which are retail price, wholesale price, and special order price from customers. As far
as we concern, we use price lining strategy. This method is usually used for retail customers.
However, for custom made and sellers, we used price based on cost strategy. As for
wholesaler, we will sell with lower price yet we still gaining the profit.

iv.Promotion Strategy.

The existence of must be realized by our target market. In our line of


business it is important to create the best promotion in order to increase our mouth to mouth
marketing style. Since we are heavily depended on this type of marketing style there is a need
in attractive style of promotion. Therefore we promote our business by providing the customer
with the opportunity to buy our yearly membership with the price of RM 20 for cotton shirt and
RM 30 for polo shirt. This membership will allow the customer to receive free ongoing
promotion, sales promotion and many more. All the promotions will be announced whenever

Place Strategy
The place or location plays an important role and is surely to affect our business. That is why
before setting up any business, we must first consider the location that we choose on building
up our business company. The reason supporting our chosen location, that will be in Bandar
Kuala Lumpur is due to its strategically location. It is located in the center of attraction and has a
large target market. Besides that, the chances of our business to survive will also be higher
since we offer more interesting services.

Flyers
We will be spreading our flyers around Kuala Lumpur to inform the people about our new
business and the type of service that our company will be offering. By doing so, we are hoping
to attract them to come over to our place and try the service and product that we are offering.

has its own page on Isntagram. Whenever there will be promotions and
sales, we will post it via Instagram. Not only that, we also promoting our designs and give few of
designs so the customers may choose the design that they like. They also may only give us
their designs so that we can determine whether the designs that they created are suitable to use
on their shirts.

A large signboard will be placed in front of our building so that people who are passing by will be
noticed about the business that we are running. This signboard also be design attractively to
make sure that our target can be achieved.

Banner
We will be placing two banner around Bandar Kuala Lumpur in this early stage so that people
will know and be inform about the opening of our business and its location. The first banner will
be placed at the bus station since that is one of the most suitable locations where people
around Kuala Lumpur will often come. The second location of our banner will be placed near
UiTM. This is to attract the students there because we are expecting them as our major
customer and it is a must for us to attract their attention.
