BUILDING MAINTENANCE UNITS (BMU) TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
Depending on the project, the solution will be different and consist of different
components:
Serbot is worldwide unique in being able to widen the cleaning concept with the
automatic cleaning system GEKKO Facade. Compared to a manual cleaning of 2
peoples the cleaning capacity can be increased by 8-10 times. Cleaning of big
window areas gives considerable savings of costs and persons.
ADVANTAGES AND Solution-oriented: Wide range of possible solutions through many years of
experience in access systems. Worldwide references.
BENEFITS Economical / Sustainable: Holistic approach so that maintenance can be
carried out economically for years to come.
Safe: The top priority is the safety of the operating personnel. Strict
compliance with the popular and latest standards is self-evident.
Efficient: Requirement-related solutions to ensure that all maintenance can
be handled as rapidly as possible.
Automation: Depending on the type of the building, the access systems can be
combined with the unique GEKKO Facade cleaning system. This enables
automated cleaning of individual parts of the building or the complete faade.

EXAMPLE
Serbot FA-B-80-Z500-S
This example is a conventional access system without automated cleaning. The trolley is equipped with a fixed jib and has a
hoisting winch, which is able to operate on buildings up to 80m in height. An auxiliary winch for a payload of 500kg is
provided and the trolley drives along a rail on the roof.
BMU SERBOT FA
Access systems with fixed jibs are ideal if no obstacles, barriers etc. are present on the roof. It is also the most
economical solution for buildings with simple geometries.
BMU SERBOT WA
Access systems with a see-saw jib are necessary when roof structures, railings, balustrades etc. are to be driven or pivoted
over.

RAIL SYSTEM Depending on the requirement, a wide range of rail systems, turnables
Switches and rotary plates are available
FACADE GUIDANCE Due to EN1808 buildings higher than 40m require a guidance for the cradle or a
guidance for suspension ropes.
