MAD SCIENCE: After school Mad Science classes begin Monday, October 2nd from 2:55-

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20TH/NO SCHOOL: Reminder: Mark your calendar! Friday, October 20th is
a Teacher In-Service Day. School will be closed. Please note: If you have a preschooler they
will be opened with a regular day from 6:30 6:00 pm.

RED RIBBON WEEK: St. Columba will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 23rd through
October 27th. The Student Council are planning special activities for this week.

JUNIOR HIGH HALLOWEEN DANCE: For grades 6th through 8th dont forget to mark your cal-
endar for the Halloween Dance Saturday, October 28th from 6:00 9:00 pm in the parish
hall.

HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS NEEDED FOR JUNIOR HIGH DANCE:


St. Columbas Junior High is having their annual Halloween Dance on Saturday, October 28,
2017 from 6-9pm. This dance is only open to St. Columba students, Grades 6-8 and invited
junior high students from other Catholic Schools in our San Diego Diocese. Student Council is
graciously requesting from school families to borrow any Halloween decorations you can
spare for the one night. Please label each decoration with your family name and they can
be picked up on October 30th from the school office. Decorations can be dropped off in
the 7th grade classroom.

HALLOWEEN MINI CARNIVAL: We will celebrate Halloween Tuesday, October 31st with a mini
carnival from 1:00-2:30 pm. Students can come dressed in their costumes. Please remember
all costumes must be appropriate for school. No makeup or mask can be worn at school.
Parent volunteers are needed to help make this afternoon fun for all.
