What we are learning

This week in reading we have been focusing on the setting of a story and plot. We have been
working on asking questions as a strategy to improve our reading comprehension and make
connections as we read. We have been working on identifying common and proper nouns. In
math, we are learning about different ways to represent numbers and have been working on
comparing numbers using the greater than, less than, and equivalent symbols. In social studies,
we will begin learning about the purpose of government and the 3 branches. In science we will
begin learning about classifying animal groups.
