PART 3 PC ASSEMBLY
Task : Assembly the PC 1 components and attach all peripherals then boot the PC. Observe the booting process.
1. Assembly the PC according to your planning at Part 2. Follow the safety procedures!
2. Set up your PC BIOS as a preparation to install the Operating System to the hard disk
3. If there is a problem with the PC components or peripheral, call the judge so that could be checked
weather it is a hardware problem or configuration problem.

PART 4 SET UP PC 1

1. Set Up PC 1 with the operating system Debian 7

2. Configure the installation by using the CDs as installation source. All software packages needed will be
gathered from CD.
3. PC 1 Specifications :
- Host : server_xx (xx is the competitor number)
- IP Address : 192.168.xx.1 (xx is the competitor number)
- Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0

PART 5 (TASK FOR PC 1/LAPTOP)

1. Please configure PC 2 as follows :

- Computer name : SMKxx (xx is school name)
- User name : clientxx
- Admin Password : competitor number LKS 2014 (example : LKS2014)
2. Make a crossover cable with 2 meters long then give label as CCxx (xx is competitor number)

5. Configure Proxy Server

a. Configure the Proxy Server to block the website listed below. Use the ACL (access control list) to
achieve this.

b. Configure squid to network in transparant mode using IPTABLES. Meaning the use has NAT to
configure NIC Client to use the proxy. All network clients will use the proxy automatic.
