There were many factors which affected the growth of the urban and rural energy sources. During
the 1970s undergoed many energy crisis that affected the national as well as the economic security.

renewabes, which drve eary techngica advances and ecnmies f scae, setting the stage and
heping t fue the past decade f expsive market expansin. Grwing emphasis n mitigating
cimate change and adapting t its impacts has further cntributed t the mmentum.

Athugh the ast decade has seen tremendus advances in the eectricity sectr, the renewabe
heating and cing sectr has agged behind. This is despite the marked grwth since 2004 in the use
f getherma, sar therma, and bimass heating techngies fr water and space heating, prcess
heat, and cing. Given that the share f heating and cing in fina energy demand is much arger
than that f eectricity, fstering grwth f renewabe energy in this sectr is crucia. In the transprt
sectr, the use f renewabe energy in the frm f bifues grew at a rapid pace fr much f the past
decade. Bidiese prductin increased tweve-fd, ethan prductin, aready at a higher starting
pint, grew three-fd. ver the same perid, a sma but grwing use f gaseus bifues in transprt
