According to the observation result and experience of teaching PPL in
SMKN Negeri Udanawu in XI Class Computer Technique and Networking on data communication subject, teacher has faced some difficulties in transferring his material. This was because there is no proper media in learning process. Student felt difficult to get information and they need some sources as a guide to help them understand the material. Besides, the teacher also had no time in order to make such as visual-aids or learning media. The purpose of this development researcher is for developing the interactive learning media in data communication subject for SMKN 1 Udanawu in XI Class in 1st semester as individual source of material with orderly the material, animation, and example on how the process of data communication in learning media with involved the interaction between the learning media and the user (students). The development of interactive learning media is using the ADDIE type of research and development. Steps that has been done such (1) analyze stage (analyzing), (2) design/planning stage (designing), (3) development stage (developing), (4) implement stage (implementation), and (5) evaluate stage (evaluation). The trial of product that has been done in this research before must validate by the material expert and media expert which very expert on their field, the next trial that divide into 3 stages which are, trial of individual, trial of small group, and the last is the trial of huge group. The result of this research developing was, (1) the product which become interactive learning media in communication data subject, (2) the percentage of validity by the media expert for about 94,5%, (3) the result of percentage validity by the material expert for about 97,5%, (4) the result of validity of the individual trial for about 88,9%, (5) the result of validity percentage trial of small group for about 90,7% and (6) the result of validity percentage of huge group for about 91,5%. So it can be summarized that the interactive learning media in commutation data subject on XI Class Technique Computer and Networking are deserved to be used in learning process.
