When did Jesus become Son of God?

Does prophesy tell us about Jesus becoming the Son of God?

In Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."
The keyword "us" indicates that there is more than one God present.

The Word which was manifested in the flesh in John 1:14 is Jesus; therefore when you replace the
Word with Jesus in John 1:1-2 it shows you again that there are two considered as God.

As we read in Luke 1:30-35 we see Jesus is called Son of the Highest after being born of the virgin
Mary. And before the manifestation of him becoming flesh he spoke to the prophets as God
(Hebrews 1:1-6).

In Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them."
The keyword "God" indicates that Jesus is God before the existence of man.
The keywords "his own image" refers to Jesus whom we know today as God and not the Son of God
existed as God the creator of all mankind.

That is why Jesus is the Alpha and Omega of all creation (Revelation 22:13) who was sent in his
Father's name (John 5:43) to redeem man from sin (death) by being made manifest into our mortal flesh
(2 Corinthians 4:11) taking away the sins of the whole world (Galatians 1:4 and 1 John 2:2).

Keeping this in mind, let us continue with the discussion as to:

"When did Jesus become the Son of God"?

Lets now take a look at Acts 3, God has glorified his Son Jesus after he was raised from the dead
(verses 13-16) His name was given to us whom we should have faith in becoming perfect (w/out sin).

As children whom God made a covenant with to keep his word through obedience; states that our seed
shall be blessed (verses 25- 26) by turning us away from our iniquities (sins); which makes us perfect
before him.

In Chapter 4 of Acts lets us know that by the name of Jesus the world crucified was raised from the
dead and yet many today reject him by not believing all that is written of him (verses 10-11). The true
believers that obey and do God's word are his children whom shall not be confounded by God's word (1
Peter 2:5-7). Therefore in reading God's word can now understand that Jesus, the head of the corner
stone whom is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20) given to us for
sound doctrine of scripture written of him.

Jesus tell us in Collosians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after
the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body
of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of
God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together
with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took
it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over
them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new
moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

We now understand that to be considered as the body of Christ, we must have the same mind as Christ.
In Phillipians 2:5 He tell us so: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and
things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

In order for the Father to glorify his son Jesus as the “Son of God”; this event had to occur in order for
Jesus to take away the sins of the earth... lets read John 20:17
“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and
say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the
disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you.
Jesus came down from heaven after taking away the sins of the earth for all who believe in him and
was first seen by his disciples saying that his Father sent him which takes place after his resurrection.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples
glad, when they saw the LORD.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are
retained.
Now we see why Jesus is called the firstborn of the dead for that is why he called the Son of God. As
he was born of flesh and raised from the dead with a spiritual body as he appeared before his disciples.
So lets understand how this process is done so that we may inherited the same body as Christ did in

Collosians 1:13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of his dear Son:
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and
for him:
17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in
all things he might have the preeminence.
19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

In Acts 2, we know that Jesus becoming Son of God was complete by prophecy declaring that he would
sit on the right hand of the Father in Psalms 110:1 to King David. This makes it clear to understand the
power of the throne in 1 Kings 22:19 and how it is restored to Jesus in Hebrews 10:12-14.
32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of
the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit
thou on my right hand,
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

---------The same way the Father hath raised Christ from the dead; so shall Jesus raise his saints from
the dead who have done accordingly to what is written of him see 1 Corinthians 15 ----------------

50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth
corruption inherit incorruption.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the
Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

We know that Jesus is the redeemer of our salvation as we read in Galatians 4:4-6
4But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under
the law,
5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father.
and further revealed to us again in Revelation 22:12
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work
shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may
enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and
whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the
offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is
athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall
add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away
his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this
book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
