LAPORAN PRAKTIKUM TURGIDITAS RELATIF DAN WATER DIFISIT DARI

Abstrak
Water is the most important component to support the continuity of life in the world, without
exception plant. Partially major components that make up the plant is water therefore the water
is very plays an important role for the plant. Transport is essential for living beings, no
exception for the plant. Transport function for the plant to it self in addition to transport water
and nutrients from the roots to the leaves also in the transport of photosynthesis from the leaves
(source) to all parts requiring (sink). There are two physical-chemical processes that occur in
plants in passive transport, namely diffusion and osmosis. With the process of diffusion of a
permeable or semi-permeable membrane declared. Osmosis is a process of diffusion through a
membrane because the concentration difference between the solution outside the cells and in
cells. Thus osmosis will continue until the balance between fluid density. Osmosis is the
transfer of water from high potential to low water potential pass through a semipermeable
membrane while water potential is the energy of the water to move or to hold a reaction. In this
practice which we do we can know the cell fluid osmotic pressure and water potential in carrots,
potatoes, and cassavas. The tools that we use that microscope, a razor, tweezers, glass objects,
glass cover, a petri dish, analytical balance and ruler. While the materials that we observed,
namely potatoes, carrots, and cassavas, sugar solution (20%, 30% and 40%), salt solution (20%,
30% and 40%), and the solution is distilled. From the experimental results obtained in distilled
water results 0 M almost say there is no weight change sliced potatoes, carrots, and tubers wood
before and after immersion in a solution. The absence of weight change indicates that the
potential value of the solute is proportional to the potential water network. As well as the trial
proved that the higher the concentration of a solution then the weight of the potato slices will
continue to shrink due to water on the potatoes, carrots, and cassavas of high potential move to
the outside of the solutions that have much lower water potential severe consequences of
potatoes, carrots, and cassavas will be reduced from the weight early.
