FOOD FIGHT VOCABULARY (updated 10/22/17)

If you are leaning toward eating alkaline electric foods then the terms
alkaline, electric food and processed foods are imperative. Pay special
attention to terms in red and try to avoid.

Word of the day: Aspartame

Alkaline: alkaline refers to an aqueous solution having a pH greater

than 7 or having a [OH-] greater than 10-7. An alkaline diet

encourages the consumption of most fruits and vegetables,

and omits foods such as meat, cheese eggs and certain grains.

(The goal of an alkaline diet is to reduce the acidity in the

bodywhich reportedly aids in treating and/or prevent

diseases.

Aqueous: made from, with, or by water

Aspartame: a very sweet substance used as an artificial sweetener,

chiefly in low-calorie products. It is a derivative of

aspartic acid and phenylalanine. (found is chewing gums)

Brine: a mixture of salty water used especially to preserve or add flavor

to food

Canned: preserved in a metal or glass container

Cellular: of, relating to, or made of the cells of living things

Chemical: of or relating to chemistry; a substance (such as an

element or compound) that is made by a chemical process

Conventional: used and accepted by most people: usual or traditional;

of a kind that has been around for a long time and is

considered to be usual or typical

Derivative: a substance that is made from another substance (Tofu

is one of many soybean derivatives.)

Dried: used to describe foods and plants that have had all their liquid

removed so that they will last for a long time

Electric Food: an electric food is food that is completely natural,

completely ingenious of the earth and 100% living.

Electric foods are non-hybrid, not genetically modified,

non-irradiated. Our bodies are alive, which make human

beings dependent on a living life force. Energy makes us

move. Electrical food animates our electric bodies. They

help to increase the copper within the nervous system

promoting a greater activation and use of your brain and

senses

Fermented: to go through a chemical change that results in the

production of alcohol
Fertilizer: a substance (such as manure or a special chemical) that

is added to soil to help the growth of plants

Frozen: to be become a hard substance (such as ice) because of cold

Fruit: a usually sweet food that grows on a tree or bush

(only seeded fruits are recommemnded)

Genetically: of, relating to, or involving genes

Genes: a part of a cell that controls or influences the appearance,

growth, etc., of a living thing

GMO: genetically modified organism

Herbicide: a chemical used to destroy plants or stop plant growth

Homogenous: made up of the same kind of things (ant. Heterogeneous)

Irradiation: the application of radiation (such as X-rays or gamma

rays) for therapeutic purposes or for sterilization

Modified: to change some parts of (something) while not changing other
parts

Organic: grown or made without the use of artificial chemicals

Packed: pressed together so there is very little space between the

parts or pieces

Pasteurized: a process in which a liquid (such as milk or cream) is

heated to a temperature that kills harmful germs and

then cooled quickly

Pesticide: a chemical that is used to kill animals or insects that

damage plants or crops

pH: a measure of acidity and alkalinity of a solution that is a

number on a scale on which a value of 7 represents neutrality

and lower numbers indicate increasing acidity and higher

numbers increasing alkalinity (and on which each unit of change

represents a tenfold change in acidity or alkalinity and that is

the negative logarithm of the effective hydrogen-ion

concentration or hydrogen-ion activity in gram equivalents per

liter of the solution; also : the condition represented by a pH

number; the potential of hydrogen)

Preserved: kept in good condition over a long period of time

Processed Food: any deliberate change in a food that occurs before

its available for us to eat. It can be as simple as

freezing or drying food to preserve nutrients and

freshness, or as complex as formulating a frozen

meal with the right balance of nutrients and ingredients.

Raw: in a natural state: not treated or cooked

Solution: an act or the process by which a solid, liquid, or gaseous

substance is homogeneously mixed with a liquid or

sometimes a gas or solid

Vegetable: a plant or plant part that is eaten as food
