Ankur Jain: What is the difference between inject1 and inject2?

Inject1- Describes mass injected for each constituent gas.

Inject2- Describes molar fraction injected for each constituent gas and total mass injected.

Mutaz Shkoukani: When you talked about moving the dummy per the H-point to the seat, when you
resolve the Penetration issues, does that mean you automatically compress the seat foam?

Seat Foam compression after dummy positioning can be done using a tool in the Safety panel in
HyperCrash. This utility is a seat deformer where the user can set up seat deformer in a few simple
steps.

Seat deformer uses RADIOSS to compress the foam. It compresses the foam without
intersections/penetrations.

Ankur Jain: What material of DYNA is associated with Radioss Mat58?

Gurpinder: Combination of type 7 and type 11 is better than type 23 or using type 23 contact is better?

Type7 and type 11 should be used for the self-contact in airbags, whereas Type23 is a special contact
type which can run when intersections exist in the airbag model. However, however intersections in
airbag is not the right practice.

Yuvraj Jadhav: Do you have any gas model to show in Radioss? Do you have any correlation between
the model and test for gas flow models..

The attached Compare.pdf file has deployment comparison with test, pressure comparison curves using
FVM approach. We can discuss and share more data going forward if available.

Lele: How to setup spring tether offset in Radioss?

It can be defined in the spring property function. Please see the attached Tether_curve.pdf
Gurpinder: Can you share more information on batch template generation in hyperview.?

To run post processing in batch mode, one needs to create a template. An example is attached
(Result_template.zip). As shown, a TCL file can automatically load a template and save the session file.
Please try using this by updating the paths in the TCL and batch file, then run the batch file. With help of
IT we can get this working in an HPC environment also by appropriately changing the paths.

Ankur Jain: Can you give a little description on how to define Law58

Law 58 can be characterized with few tests like tension test, biaxial tests and picture tests. Please refer
the attached Law58.pdf for more details. We can have a meeting or Teleconference to further discuss.

Soonsik Kim: So far our folded PAB model (3D) which works well in LS-Dyna is not working for Radioss
model, can you explain?

Radioss runs without issues when the model is built with the best practices. Sometimes, due to
deviation in the models from best practices might result in some issues which have to be sorted out
based on the model.

KirschT: Where can I find more information on the folding simulation tool?

Folding simulation tools can be set up using Hypermesh, Please find attached Folder the
to_keysafety_folding.zip, which has instructions, automation tools and example files.

These include folding and rolling. We can discuss more once you go through the material.
