I. Introduction

JPMorgan Chase is a multinational banking and financial services holding company. The investment
banking, asset management, private banking, private wealth management and treasury use the
JPMorgan brand and securities service divisions. JPMorgan is also one of the oldest financial institutions;
they are the leading global financial services firm with assets of $2.6 trillion. JPMorgan served millions of
consumers, small businesses and many of the worlds most prominent corporate. The Bank also
operates in more than 60 countries

JPMorgan Chase, in its current structure, is the result of the combination of several large U.S. banking
companies since 1996, including Chase Manhattan Bank, JP Morgan & Co., Bank One, Bear Stearns and
Washington Mutual. Going back further, its predecessors include major banking firms among which are
Chemical Bank, Manufactures Hanover, First Chicago Bank, National Bank of Detroit, Texas Commerce
Bank, Providian Financial and Great Western Bank. The Companys oldest predecessor institution, the
Bank of the Manhattan Company, was the third oldest banking corporation in the United States, and the
31st oldest bank in the world, having been established on September 1, 1799 by Aaron Burr.

Banks need to have a steady and fast internet connection to remain its information up-to-date as banks
need to track the economic trading and currency changes, along with maintaining communication with
their clients. The researchers of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, plan to propose a Reallocation and
improvement of Internet in Palawan, El Nido. By Increasing the bandwidth allocation of each employee
in the island resort that the company would like to invest to. The Researchers proposed solution on
these problems is the upgrade of equipment count used by the employees in the island. Another
recommendation would be a contract between JPMorgan and another internet service provider.

II. Background

JP Morgan Chase & Co. provides banking and financial services that manage money, including credit
unions, banks etc. It is a major provider of financial services, and according to Forbes magazine is the
worlds fourth largest public company. This document discussed the Network Topology based in El Nido,
Palawan and described the physical location of every network component. It shows where the physical
components such as servers, desktops, wall port, wiring and more are located physical in the building.

In this proposal our goal and objectives is to provide sufficient bandwidth for each employee and how
do these computers in network link to each of 500 villas in the resort. The office consists of 2 sites and
there are 780 employees. Our target is to allocate 1MB per employee but not all are included since
some of the employees are not required to have internet connection. In addition, to manage this
network and to provide fast internet connection partial mesh is needed. Every node on this network are
connected to each node but not all nodes are connected, this is called a partial mesh but despite of
using a mesh the researchers still intend to use a single central connection point to avoid failure in all
cables. The IT department should have access in in everything to monitor and control all the data that
passes. This is the table representing the department, employees, number of units needed and the
bandwidth allocation.

III. Scope of Work

The researchers are planning to do the cabling management or routing cables for this island. This
project proposal will also be setting up internet connection in the whole island in EL NIDO Palawan. This
network infrastructure proposal aims to give a reliable high speed internet connection using Fibr Optic
cables because the researchers believe this is the most advance technology in terms of a stable internet
connection. Why Fibr optic cable? Because fibr optic cable is able to transmit connection for almost 25
miles. The researchers know that Fibr optic cable cost a lot but its assured that the best internet
connection will be provided. Each villa in the island will have Wi-Fi router with a good amount of
bandwidth so that the customers will be satisfied. Inside the Island the researchers also plan to have an
IT Building which will become the source of all the internet connection in the whole island. The Island
also has many amenities like spa and gym, so we are planning to give each of the amenities a good
internet connection through wireless network.

IV. Network diagrams and topologies

This is the generated design of the island that the researchers will use to fulfill the requirements of
JPMorgan Chase & Co. The researchers will be in charge of the building placement within the island.
The buildings that JPMorgan Chase & Co. requires are the following:

SITE 1 SITE 2
500 Villas 1 BPO
3 Restaurants -
2 Gyms -
2 Spa -
4 Bars -

This is the actual building locations that the researchers decided to place in the map that was generated.
This building location map will also serve as the topology map once the connection has been established
between the buildings.
This network topology map is created using the previous building location map that utilizes the partial
mesh connection.
This network diagram represents all the connections between the buildings.

All the connections that the researchers are going to use are fibr connections; this would enable a long
distance connection to be feasible and still maintaining speed. Switches needed on the separate
departments depending on how many workstations they need but this was not included in the diagram,
same goes with the BPO that needs 420 workstations. The three switches used to maintain the
connection is going to be a switch with an integrated firewall.

disaster prevention and recovery plan and the internet service provider.
VI. Project Timeline and Disaster Recovery Plan

it started last October 3, 2017 and finished October 12, 2017 at 5:00 AM.

Disaster recovery and prevention plan

The buildings on the island are designed to be earthquake proof, and all the construction materials are
top notch. The island resort is made to last about 50 years of time thus investing such amount is not that
expensive considering that the company operates in more than 60 countries and all the profit that the
investor would gain balances out the cost within the first few months of operations. The researchers did
not include the budget for the construction of the building and the reinforcement of the underground
and above ground connections like towers and underground passages.

The only disaster recovery plan that the researchers have is reinforced underground connection
passages, and reinforced connection towers. In addition to that the IT department can ensure the
security of all the connections and connected devices.
