CRS

The Certificate Release to Service (CRS) must be issued by appropriately Authorized Certifying
Staff full filling the Qatar Civil Aviation Regulation (QCAR) 1003/2006 Annex I Part-M Subpart F
or Annex II Part-145 and Annex III Part-66 requirements, before flight at the completion of any
maintenance and no existence of non-compliances which are known, where could endanger the
flight safety. Using approved and up to date: QCAR Part-145 Maintenance Organization
Exposition (MOE) or QCAR Part-M Subpart-F Maintenance Organization Manual (MOM)
procedures and Maintenance data; and serviceable parts; and approved material; and
approved, serviceable and calibrated tools / equipment test under a suitable work
environment.

During Line Maintenance Certificate Release to Service (CRS) is issued in the Aircraft Technical
Log Book by the appropriately authorized Certifying Staff Category A; B1; B2 or B3 on behalf of
the QCAR Part-145 or QCAR Part-M Subpart F Approved Maintenance Organization. If Minimum
Equipment List (MEL) is used for aircraft dispatch, this aircraft limitation shall be recorded in the
aircraft technical log book and CRS must be issued. After Schedule Base Maintenance, CRS is
issued by appropriately authorized Certifying Staff Category C, after he/she checked all
maintenance tasks requested, was carried out.

Certificate Release to Service for parts is identified as a QCAA Form 1 and the CRS is issue by
appropriately Certifying Staff at the final of the maintenance performed, when the part is not
installed on the aircraft, by the appropriately authorized Certifying Staff on behalf of the
Approved Organization. When the aircraft is grounded in at outstation due to non-availability of
a component with the appropriate release certificate, its permissible to install temporary a
component without the appropriate release certificate for a maximum of 30 flight hours or until
the aircraft returns to the main base, subject to the operator agreement.

In conclusion, no Aircraft shall be release for flight, after completion of any maintenance
without issued of certificate to release for service by an appropriately Certifying staff.
