1. This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in both Malay and English. / Tugasan ini
mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Inggeris.

2. Answer in Malay or English. / Jawab dalam bahasa Melayu atau bahasa Inggeris.

3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MS-WORD format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain
from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print screen / etc. / Anda dikehendaki
menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MS-WORD melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak dibenarkan
untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format grafik seperti .jpeg / .gif / print screen / dan
lain-lain format berkaitan.

4. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times
New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan
daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip
dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5.

5. Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references. Do not copy the

approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your
assignment. / Tugasan anda hendaklah mengandungi 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk

in any dispute arises concerning assignment submission. / Anda perlu memastikan RESIT yang

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The early years is an ideal time for children to begin establishing a healthy lifestyle.
Nowdays many young children spend the majority of the day at childrens centres. Thus, it is
important that teachers are knowledgeable about young childrens health, safety, and
nutritional needs.

Activities, environment, meal planning, and supervision should reflect a strong commitment
to promoting each childs optimal growth and development (Gupta, et al., 2005). One of the
most important things to do is planning a healthy yet balanced diet. According to Martin and
Oackley (2008), balance and moderation should be taken into consideration when planning a
menu for a good diet.

For this assignment you are required to plan the breakfast, lunch and snack menu for children
ages:
(a) 2 to 3 years old for a week.
(b) 4 to 6 years old for a week.

Each breakfast/lunch/snack item must include the amount to be served. You must design a
good and healthy diet.

Peringkat awal merupakan masa yang sesuai untuk kanak-kanak memulakan gaya hidup
yang sihat. Pada masa kini ramai kanak-kanak kecil menghabiskan sebahagian besar masa
mereka di pusat kanak-kanak. Oleh itu, adalah penting untuk guru-guru berpengetahuan
tentang kesihatan, keselamatan, dan keperluan pemakanan kanak-kanak kecil ini.

Aktiviti, persekitaran, perancangan pemakanan, dan pengawasan harus mencerminkan


komitmen yang kuat untuk menggalakkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimum
setiap kanak-kanak (Gupta, et al., 2005). Salah satu perkara yang paling penting untuk
dilakukan ialah merancang diet yang sihat lagi seimbang. Menurut Martin dan Oackley
(2008), menu yang seimbang dan sederhana perlu dipertimbangkan semasa merancang menu
pemakanan yang baik.

Bagi tugasan ini, anda dikehendaki merancang sarapan, makan tengah hari dan menu
makanan ringan untuk kanak-kanak peringkat umur:

(a) 2 hingga 3 tahun selama seminggu.


(b) 4 hingga 6 tahun selama seminggu.

Setiap item makan tengah hari/snek/sarapan mesti termasuk jumlah yang hendak diberikan.
Anda mesti mereka bentuk diet yang baik dan sihat.
