It is like a road map for the paper.

You say in general what the paper is going to be about.

It is composed by:

An introductory sentence

The Thesis Statement

The arguments

A concluding sentence

THE THESIS STATEMENT

A thesis is an interpretation of a question or subject, not the subject itself.

It makes a claim that others might dispute and that can be supported by a reason or
reasons.

It is usually a single sentence somewhere in your first paragraph that presents your
argument to the reader.

EXAMPLE

1) A subject: playing sports

2) A main idea: playing sports is beneficial for children

3) Support or Evidence: better cooperation, better coordination, and better overall health.

LA DECLARACIN DE LA TESIS
Una tesis es una interpretacin de una pregunta o tema, no el sujeto en s.
Hace una reclamacin que otros podran disputar y que puede ser apoyada por una razn o razones.
Suele ser una sola oracin en algn lugar de su primer prrafo que presenta su argumento al lector.

EJEMPLO
1) Un tema: practicar deportes
2) Una idea principal: jugar deportes es beneficioso para los nios
3) Apoyo o Evidencia: mejor cooperacin, mejor coordinacin y mejor salud en general.
