No, I dont have any similar manuscripts already published from this project.

For quick understanding about the importance of the project following are the significant
findings of my submitted article?
Based on this research, the average nutritional status of SMAN 1 Padang female students
calculated based on BMI is 62.5% in normal category with 56.2% of samples experienced a
disruption of the menstrual cycle. In this study, total fat consumption is lacking in all the samples
(100%) with less consumption of cholesterol (71.9%), Saturated Fatty Acids (SFA) (50.0%),
Monounsaturated Fatty Acid (MUFA) (98.4%), polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA) (98.4%) and
enough Trans Fatty acids (TFA) (62.5%).

How findings of this research work are unique in their nature?

Nowadays, people has becoming more aware of their diet consumption as obesity become the
growing problem of health condition. Women, especially, are on strict diet to maintain a stable
weight without knowing the influences of food consumption on menstrual cycle. On the
contrary, the hormonal fluctuations associated with the menstrual cycle can affect appetite
control and eating behavior of a person influenced by food intake and consumption patterns.
The important thing in our environment today is the prevalence of food consumption patterns
that are not balanced between carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber and vitamins and minerals that
can affect the menstrual cycle, especially in adolescents. Excessive calories and dramatic weight
gain can contribute to high estrogen level in a womans blood, hence increased the risk of breast
cancer, whereas a very low-calorie intake can bring menstrual cycle to a halt which in the end
can also contribute to occurance of infertility in women. Therefore, it is important to identify the
nutritional status and fat consumption patterns associated with the menstrual cycle in general.

A paragraph explaining why your manuscript is appropriate for the selected journal
We believe that this manuscript is appropriate and informative for publication by the Research
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology as it focused on the factors affecting the menstrual cycle,
such as patterns of consumption of fat and nutritional status of female adolescents in Senior
High School 1 Padang, Sumatera Bara. This manuscript is not only focusing on Gynecology
disorder aspect but also nutrition and women health.
