Abstract: This study has two key aims: (1) to identify sources of stress that the EFL teacher deals with;
and (2) to introduce the aspects that help her become resilient within that stressful circumstance. A
semi-structured interview was conducted with a selected EFL teacher who had more than a five year
teaching experience. The teacher was regarded capable not only to maintain her positive
commitment, but also to demonstrate an exceptional achievement during that span of time. The
results indicated that curriculum changes had largely contributed to the participants stress.
Fortunately, a supportive institution and conducive social relationships had been well documented as
the key features that aided her tackle day-to-day problems. She was also reported to have a strong
positive emotion. Interestingly, such an emotion might have not necessarily come from her internal
body. Instead, she also cultivated it from people around her, e.g. from her father and her students.
