1) Education: To showcase and educate how ire can be avoided with a better
understanding of the ire chemistry - a triangle
NASA Fire Technology Limited designs and develops various clean gas
products, systems and accessories for ire prevention and safety. We have
also designed some very eficient lame retardant chemical granules for
specialized ire safety applications. Our team has dedicated 30 years to
researching and conducting in-depth studies on working conditions and
human psychology to revolutionize the ire safety industry.
Unlike other extinguishers, our stainless steel devices are leak proof and
maintenance free. Our ire detecting and extinguishing devices provide a
safer environment for everyone and have also drastically reduced inancial
losses of our customers. NASA wants Fire and Accident to become history
by eliminating all chances of Fire or Accidents taking place due to incorrect
practices, lack of awareness or acts of negligence.
NASA strongly opposes the use of the word Fire Fighting and appeals to
everyone to believe in taking preventive action rather than curative one. After
all, Fire is GOD and GOD cannot be fought with. But surely, we can prevent
his curse. This is what he constantly conveys and prays during all NASA
Seminars and Workshops.
NASA believes in not compromising at any level. It took 30+ years of intensive
research to develop a unique, hi-tech and intelligent Fire Extinguisher, which
has been a long awaited need of the industry. Approved by one of the best
certifying agencies in the world, Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and Bureau
of Indian Standards (BIS), UL Listed NASA 227 MAR and BIS Listed (ISI)

NASA Manual Movable ire extinguishing trolleys are mini ire tenders meant
to effectively extinguish early stage initial ire before it grows big. It has been
observed that Fire has a Tendency to Multiply 50 times in the irst 8 minutes.
And a Fire Tender would probably take on an average 20-45 minutes to reach
the site of ire. Just imagine the multiplication of ire in this period and the
kind of destruction that could have been averted by the mere presence of a
high performance NASA mini ire tender that could have done the job before
the ire multiplies. NASA mini ire tenders are equipped with interlocking
leak proof long life valve design, which ensures highly reliable operational TUV

Applications:
Unattended cable trenches are one of the most critical hidden hazards
in modern day industries. Over a period of time, a signiicant amount of
garbage, water, oil etc gathers inside these trenches. Pests could be another
problem responsible for damaging some of these cables. Any ire arising
due to short circuit or fusing of such damaged cables will have the power
to spread across the entire cable trench enguling the entire industry into
lames and creating an inferno.
NASA lame retardant granules can be illed up in such cable trenches to
prevent any spread of ire across the trench. These granules are available in
different grades.

A. Stainless Steel is LESS SUSCEPTIBLE to corrosion in most environments, and is far superior than mild steel
extinguishers. In extreme acidic environments, even Stainless Steel grades 304 and 316 have a tendency to corrode.
It is highly advised to safeguard your extinguishers in a safe enclosed cabinet to prevent damage from such extreme
environments.
Q. Is it possible to use NASA semi-automatic or mini ire tender multiple times? Does it leak out after single usage?
A. Unlike conventional extinguishers, the unique, advance and high-tech NASA leak proof valve design makes it
possible to use the NASA semi-automatic ire extinguisher or the NASA mini ire tender multiple times, till less than
1% charge retention. NASA products are good to use for a lifespan of 10 years without leakage.
For example, If you utilize a little quantity of the extinguishant today, and once the valve is totally closed, the
remaining extinguishant is still good to use till the remaining lifespan of 10 years without any signiicant pressure
drop or leakage.
Q. There are so many models in NASA automatic. How to make the right selection?
A. NASA automatic ire extinguisher comes in various capacities as shown in table on page no. 12. These different
capacities are recommended based on the volume of the critical chamber that needs to be protected. For example, if
we need to secure an LPG cylinder chamber, which is less than 20 cubic foot in volume, we can go with the smallest
model called NASA 2T. If we want to secure an electric panel with a volume of 35 cubic feet, we need to select the
higher model called NASA 8T. If we want to protect an enclosed solvent drum storage warehouse of 10ft x 6 ft x 10ft
(i.e. 600 cubic feet), we will prefer the highest capacity model called NASA 150T. We strongly recommend you to
consult NASA technical person to suggest the best suitable model for any given application.
Q. How do I make the right selection of suitable temperature rating sensor in NASA automatic for my application?
A. The idea behind selecting the right temperature rating sensor is to minimize the damage due to ire. For example,
server rack areas are maintained at 22-25C temperature. We would recommend a NASA automatic device with
temperature rating of 57C+/- 2C instead of 68C+/- 2C to minimize the damage. While for electric panels in
ambient temperature, we would not recommend a temperature rating of 57C+/- 2C. Instead we would go with 68
C+/- 2C or even higher, if required.
Q. Should we provide a total looding solution for ire safety of a server rack area?
A. While ire typically has a potential to initiate inside the server rack, we have observed a lot of industries providing
complete looding systems for the entire server room area. In following such a practice, a signiicant portion of the
server rack might get damaged by the time, ire is detected and extinguished. In contrast, NASA automatic devices
it right inside the server racks and immediately extinguish the ire that occurs inside the rack, thus preventing a
larger damage.
A. No Sir, it is not water but it is the charged NASA NS_123 extinguishant, which looks like water. When you press
the valve lever slowly, it may so happen that little NASA Gas (NS_123) propels out in liquid droplet form and it
evaporates rapidly depending on the temperature conditions of the atmosphere without leaving any residue.
A. NASA NS_123 clean agent is approved by Underwriters Laboratory, USA and NASA HCFC 123 based clean agent
is approved by BIS, India for ire extinguishing purposes. They are also approved under the US EPA under the SNAP
program as of October 21, 2014. NASA Clean Gas is one of the most balanced clean gases available, which can
extinguish a ire as well as have negligible effect on environment as compared to other clean gases. Ideally speaking,
the amount of carbon monoxide generated during ire is extremely detrimental to the environment, while a little
quantity of NASA clean gas used to extinguish the same would be completely harmless, non-toxic. (http://www.epa.
gov/ozone/snap)
A. NASA Clean gas may come out in liquid form, but it has a tendency to rapidly evaporate in gaseous phase.
In comparison to water or powder based extinguishers, it might cause negligible or no damage to the property of
substance on ire. Yet, it is dificult to validate its compatibility with each and every eatable item available on earth.
Q. How does the NASA Spill Handling Kit Licicover work? What is the application?
A. NASA Spill Handling Kit consists of free lowing coated granules, which have excellent absorbing as well as ire
extinguishing capacity. In contrast to the conventional outdated sand buckets, it is an excellent advanced technology,
which can be comfortably sprinkled on any oil/ solvent spillage, thereby absorbing it. In addition, when physically
sprinkled on a ire, the coating gets decomposed due to higher temperatures, thus creating a blanket to cover and
extinguish the ire.
A. NASA Flame Retardant Chemical Granules are free lowing granules, which can be simply poured in the cable
trench, maintaining a minimum level of 5mm above the cables.
