I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Alma Zapon this year at Foshay Learning Center during
which time I am a Pupil Services and Attendance Counselor at Foshay Learning Center. One of my
responsibilities was to work with students who are working towards completing their community service
hours after school. Alma demonstrates her dedication and passion during her service and often goes above
and beyond supporting the attendance office. She stays after school and volunteers her time to support and
finish the task effectively. Alma assists in the preparation and coordination in the school wide attendance
program. She also takes leadership and supports students during events.

This year Alma took additional responsibilities that assisted in designing a program for an award assembly.
I find Alma to be driven, intelligent, motivated and responsible student who masters her academic skills.
Her knowledge is evident in her achievement as a college bound student.

Alma easily establishes effective interpersonal skills with her fellow classmates, and administrators. Her
demeanor supports a working environment that is pleasant. She works well alone and as a member of a
team. She demonstrates a strong work ethic, as Alma has high expectations for herself and is committed to
achieving her goals. Her talents, skills, experience, and dedication will serve her well and make a positive
impact. I am confident that she has the drive and initiative necessary to excel in your program and beyond
and I recommend her without reservation.
