Acticast
Acticast is a Inorganic poly carbonate with similar
components of Coke Ash, safe to handle and has no
reaction with Basalt, Slag, Lime Stone, Coke, Blast or
Thermal Bricks
Carbon Release Control
Acticast is carbon release controller from coke lattices,
and due to its controlling effect, Boudard reaction fails
above the Tuyere.
Thermal Energy Cycles
At the Tuyere, carbon is allowed to uniformly release per
unit time, which intensifies the thermal energy and the
generating thermal energy cycles or frequencies match
the absorbing materials, increasing rate of heat absorption
per unit time.
Dosage
Acticast when dosed upon coke in the ratio of 1.5 to 2 kg
per MT prevents Boudard Reaction or Solution Loss
Reaction.
Increased Melting Rate
Acticast also increases rate of net heat transfer in the
Cupola bed coke, there by increased melt rates by 10 to
20% can be witnessed for the same wind volume. In
Rockwool Cupolas, increase of fiber yield per MT Raw

For any variations suitable calculations are made available

Software & Technical Support
Chargewave has developed software to estimate melting
efficiency of the Cupola, based upon Coke Bed Kg,
Charge Coke Kg, Charge Kg, Blast Temperature, Liquid
O2%.
A pre-estimate of the melting efficiency without Acticast
application is necessary to know the current level of C-
CO-CO2 equilibrium and to arrive at Acticast application
methods to achieve lower coke rates, keeping the
equilibrium condition identical.
Operation Procedure with Acticast
Chargewave will then advise Operation procedure with
Acticast, which may be in the following 2 ways
1. Increase of Charge by 10% and Charge Coke Decrease
by 10%2. Decrease of Charge Coke by 20%

BOUT ACTIVISER TECHNOLOGY

The Activiser technology Invented by us is a


Chemical process in which the carbon atoms are

uniformly released from their parent lattices in the the


boiler / furnace combustion chamber
Technique to modify the reaction efficiency of C & O2 to
its sustainable maximum
Selective C, O2 reaction in preferential band widths

becomes possible
This effect results in the stabilized combustion and also, in
creating effect of constant release of heat energy per unit
time. Comparison of Normal & Activiser Induced
Combustion process Normal Combustion In the Bomb
Calorimeter test, the heat is measured at the point of
absorption, which is the heat absorbed after losses in flue
gas & steel. The losses which occur in between C, O2
reaction or generation point to the point of absorption, are
the During the Combustion or Heat scattering losses. In
normal combustion, thermal scattering (During the
Combustion heat losses) occurs which renders most of the
generated thermal energy useless to the target of
absorption.

Activiser Combustion Process Due to uniform C, O2


reaction patterns, in chosen temperature bandwidths,
Combustion stabilizes & condition for stable heat or
thermal release rates is created, which increases the
combustion chamber heat transfer efficiency by
overcoming the heat resistance of flue gases & steel
mediums With Activiser technology, thermal scattering is

available for transfer, which is 15 to 20% extra to what is
normally obtained by GCV test in Bomb Calorimeter. This
whole process ultimately results in the enhancement of the

Steam Cost Reduction (SCR) Project - 2


(Coal)

SCR Project 2, for CFBC, AFBC, boilers


This project is for those clients who consume more than
150 to 2000 Tons per day Coal, employing CFBC, AFBC,
boilers, using Indian or Imported Coal, employing 1 or
many boiler installations, where Coal measurement is not
possible.
SCR Project 2 is currently for Boilers located in India.

Lower Ash Generation for identical Steam, known input
GCV & Ash % of Coal comparison reports for results
estimation
CES implements the Project with their own cost, for the
SCR
CES gets payment (% portion of the SCR) as per
agreed terms & conditions, after the SCR project
achieves the set objectives, established in clear,
transparent Energy Audit test methods & procedures

Project Implementation

1. A preliminary Boiler Operations Audit is performed first


to estimate the working efficiency of the boiler through
the software method
2. The projected data is verified as per available records
which will confirm working Boiler Efficiency
3. Boiler PA, FD, WBP, Draft, O2, may be altered to suit
Coal Activiser Application
4. Coal Activiser Application is implemented which will
result in lower steam costs
Note :
1. SCR will lower costs of Steam Generation by 10 to 23%
2. Thermal Energy Input Costs will be lowered in this
project
3. Costs of Boiler Maintenance, Operations, Utilities,
Repairs etc. will be not Influenced by this Project
