Pets eating mouse poison is very common. They sell it as being

Mouse poison removes the ability of the blood to clot so an
animal can live normal from the outside but if they were to get
injured or cut they could potentially bleed out.

fixed animals live longer and are healthier than unfixed animals.
Its just that simple.

So ultimately we have to get the bone aligned - this is your ball
and socket joint and put an internal iron pin, so that goes right
down the middle, okay, and that helps with compression forces.
We put some wire around the big pieces and then we put an

external cast.
DR. JEFFS FIRST JOB IS TO PUT ALL THE BONE
FRAGMENTS BACK TOGETHER.

So I just found pieces of bone. This is really broken badly.
Three, four, five, six pieces of bone. A lot more pieces than what
I thought were on x-ray. Theyre just falling apart.

muscle has just been lacerated horribly. Thats the problem with

broken, and its really sharp and that was the one that was
sideways on x-ray.

So at this point weve got them, I cant say exactly where they
belong but pretty close. There was no major bleeding, I think
most of the bruise and everything is just from the muscle being
lacerated so much. The blood supply is good so hopefully with

CAN CHECK THE ALIGNMENT ON AN X-RAY.

It doesnt look half bad from that position. Its cracked up there, a
little piece missing. Just the last little pieces. That looks good, I
promise you, thats ten times worse than it looks but it should
heal is the point.
THE FINAL STEP IS TO ATTACH AN EXTERNAL FIXATOR.

cast on were gonna put pins through that holds everything in
place and in perfect alignment. Then Ill neuter him. You got the

So this is one of the original post-op x-rays and then a couple of
weeks later and that gap is still present.

Champs x-rays are very concerning. It doesnt look like that leg
is healed very much at all. I can still see all the fracture
fragments.

You can have some fractures that can take up to three months to
