1. Cardinal numbers
A cardinal number gives information about how many. Since cardinal numbers show quantities, they are
also called counting numbers. So, a Cardinal Number answers the question "How Many?"
Example:

Hundred and tens are usually separated by and.

2. Penjumlahan (Count number)
Plus (+), minus (-), times/multiplied by (x), divided by (:), and equals (=)
Example:
1) 7 + 9 = 16 (seven added by nine is sixteen) / (seven plus nine equals sixteen).
2) 11 10 = 1 (eleven subtracted by ten is one) / (eleven minus ten equals one).
3) 5 x 6 = 30 (five times six is thirty)
4) 12 : 3 = 4 (twelve divided by three is four)
1) Fraction
- : a half - 1 1/3 : one and a third
- 1/3 : a third - 1 : one and a quarter
- : a quarter - 2 : two and three quarter
- 1/5 : a fifth - 34/259 : thirty four over two hundred
- 3/4 : three quarters and fifty nine
- 2/3 : two third - 218/576 : two hundred and eighteen
- 1 : one and a half over five hundred and seventy six

2) Decimal fraction
Untuk pecahan desimal (Decimal Fraction) dalam bahasa Inggris ditulis dengan tanda
titik (.) yang dibaca dengan point, bukan dengan tanda koma (,)
Example:
- 0.5 = zero point five
- 5.6 = five point six
- 3.15 = three point one five
- 1000.45 = one thousand point four five
- 123.236 = one hundred and twenty three point two three six

definite article is used before the ordinal number.

We use ordinal numbers for dates and the order of something (thing ordinal = order).
Example:
- January 15th, 2013.
If we were to say this date it would be : January the fifteenth, twenty-thirteen.
- 1st January 2015

petunjuk guru.
