Regarding the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation (grades

2, 3, and 6 respectively)

Dear Parents & Families,

We trust that you have all had a good start to the new year. You are invited to now
register your child(ren) at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish for the sacraments of
Reconciliation, Eucharist &/or Confirmation.

In our Diocese, baptized Roman Catholic children in grade 2 celebrate Reconciliation,

those in grade 3 celebrate Eucharist and those in grade 6 celebrate Confirmation. We
ask that all parents who would like their child/children to celebrate one or more of these
sacraments in the Roman Catholic Church to register at the parish. If one or both
parents is Roman Catholic and your child is in grade 2 but has not yet been baptized
please contact the parish office and we would be happy to assist you with making
arrangements for Baptism.

In order for your child to receive the sacrament (s) with their
classmates this year, you MUST attend ONE of these forums and
register them.
We are holding three Sacramental Parent Forums with registration:

For these forums please note the following:

The Parent Sacramental Forum with registration will be held in the Tranquille
Hall (in the same building as the Church, but on the south end of the building)
Please bring with you a photocopy of your childs Baptism certificate that we
can keep on file (even if they were baptized at St. Joseph Church)
It is not necessary that your child attend this registration meeting

This registration at St. Joseph Parish is for Roman Catholic children. The parents of
non-Catholic Children (e.g. Anglican, Lutheran, etc.) are also asked to contact their local
church community for celebrations in their faith tradition.
