Introduction

When introducing this topic on approaches and methods of teaching we see

that every day it becomes necessary to understand and implement methods
and strategies for each student to learn a new language, because to
understand that a new language is a window to a new world of which we
will speak then.

Difference between approach, method and technique

Approach is, an approach is a set of assumptions, theorical positions and

beliefs about the nature of a language, I mean an approach consist on what
we belief about language and how language is learned, an approach is
axiomatic, I mean is something evident, because it shows or specify the
nature of the subject to be taught.

A method is the systematic plan, is the orderly procedures based on the

approach, the method is the planning that is built based on our approachand
this planning is focus in our goals of the teaching and learning.
And finally a technique or techniques are the strategies like exercises,
tasks, activities like didactic games, role playing among others, that can be
applied in a classroom to students in order a teacher can reach pedagogical
goals.

5. 2. Approaches and methods of language teaching. (Use only a concept map

in this point)

5. 3. English as a foreign language

Speaking a foreign language such as English has become a necessity in

today's world due to the globalization that has taken place in recent years.
In fact, this language is found in almost all areas of daily life, such as
educational, informational, technological, scientific, among others. That is
why the relevance of learning it in order to maintain optimal
communication with English speakers when the opportunity presents itself
or to be able to interpret information of interest that is written in such
language.

Problems of teaching/learning English as a foreign language.

Humans acquire the ability to communicate in our mother tongue, naturally

at a very early age. Our brain is prepared to acquire language, and uses it as
a tool of thought and communication. The need to communicate means that
we develop our mother tongue in a natural way, without any effort. By
which reason, begin to learn as soon as possible so that it leads to less
effort. But things get complicated when we have to learn other languages.

5. 5. Some solutions to overcome language learning difficulties.

There are several keys that enhance the learning process, among which,
both the interest of the students and the well-sequenced repetition of
contents and activities must be present to ensure the durable acquisition of
the subject. In addition, for the language class, it is essential to promote all
communicative skills, placing them in the most practical and real contexts
so that the students are able to use the foreign language effectively in the
greatest number of situations
Possible. However, according to the results of studies that we will advance
in this blog, oral comprehension and expression usually reach modest
levels in compulsory education. To this end, new technologies in education
provide a series of resources that help to overcome certain didactic
difficulties, complementing the programming of the language subject and
improving the progression in learning.
On the one hand, consistency and repetition help students become familiar
with the most useful words and expressions to start using a language. In
this sense, the teacher can use the language laboratory to soften its role and
use audiovisual resources and programs that re-address or expand the
contents of each didactic unit. In this way, the teacher can concentrate on
the selection of activities for students to practice and repeat at any time,
while the latter extend the scope of the subject by working with actors other
than the regular teacher.
Conclusion

In concluding this topic on approaches to methods and techniques of

language teaching I have learned that there are different approaches and
differences what is important is for the teacher to know when to use each of
the methods and strategies that are required in each situation since the main
objective is that The student learns not only to speak the language but also
to use it in different situations of life.
