MythConceptions: All Bounced Checks Are Bad -
MONDAY Mark 12:38-44 Timing
From the beginning of the book of Mark, Jesus is in conflict with religious November 12th
leaders. However, he waits until closer to his death to critique them. Scripture: Mark 12:38-44 (NLT)
REFLECTION: When are some good times to address hard things with Jesus also taught: Beware of these teachers of religious law! For they like

walk in the marketplaces. And how they love the seats of honor in the

PRAYER Lord, Show me the widows in my path. Help me to show them
compassion. Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the
crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.
WEDNESDAY: Mark 12:38-44 Another Widow Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.
In one scripture the widow is a victim. In another she is the victor.

My Notes:
FRIDAY: Mark 12:38-44 Foreshadowing
The all of herself she gave foreshadows the all of himself Jesus is
preparing to give on the cross. When we look at her, we see a woman
who exemplifies a life dedicated to Christ.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, that Im not called to die like Christ. But I am
called to die to my old self. Decrease that old person in me, who strives
for perfection while pleasing others.
