NOTICE

Students of VII-Mechanical Engineering are hereby informed about the Performa of

project report. The Performa of project report is as follow:

Sequence of content:
Main page, Certificate, Certificate of Industry(if any), Acknowledgement, abstract, index, list of
fig., list of table, problem formulation, literature review, Chapters: (1) Introduction (2), (3), (4),
.so on., conclusion, appendix, bibliography.

Acknowledgement and abstract should be of maximum 300 words.

Font Size: Main Title 14 bold, Sub title 12 bold, Other 12 normal
Spacing between lines: single
Paragraph: 0.00 indentation with single blank space before paragraph
Margin on A4 size paper: Top 0.8, Bottom 0.8, Right 0.8, Left 1
Figure should be in middle, with their number and name at the bottom of the fig. With
font size 10 bold
Figure with black border line of 1.5 pt thick
Margin above the figure is single spacing of 12 point
Margin below the table is single spacing of 12 point
Figure should be black or colored.
Table should be in middle, with their number and name at above of the table with font
size 10 bold.
Page no. should be at bottom of paper at the center.
Appendix: includes- graphs, standards, charts, tables etc. at the end of report and before
bibliography.
Bibliography includes: Research papers, Books and web sites, respectively.
Research papers:
[1] Author name, Title of Research paper, Name of Journal, Year, Page nos.
E.g. for research paper: name of author, Review on kinematic and dynamic
behavior of industrial robot, International journal of Robotic Research, 2011, pp.
585-591.
Books:
[1] Author name, Title of Book, Name of publisher, Edition, Year, Page nos.
E.g. for Book: R. C. Patel, Machine Design, PHI Publications, First Edition,
1998, pp. 236.

Web site:

Maximum number of pages is 100 excluding front page, certificate, Industry certificate,
abstract and acknowledgement.
Front page must be color.
Binding of Project Report: Spiral Binding (With front page: white transparent plastic
paper, Last page: Blue or Black plastic paper. (Hard binding is not compulsory).
No. of copies of reports Separate copy for Guide, Individual student, Department
library.

It is mandatory for all students to prepare project report as per above Performa.
