Terwujudnya SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan sebagai SMK Model dengan tamatan yang kompeten dan

Tujuan SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan
1. Menyiapkan lulusan yang berkompetensi untuk memasuki lapangan kerja.
2. Menyiapkan lulusan agar mampu berkarir, berkompetensi dan bersikap profesional.
3. Menyiapkan tenaga kerja tingkat menengah untuk mengisi kebutuhan dunia kerja berskala
global.

4. Menyiapkan lulusan agar menjadi warga negara yang produktif, adaptif dan kreatif.
5. Mempersiapkan peserta didik menjadi manusia produktif, mampu bekerja mandiri serta mengisi
lowongan pekerjaan di DU/DI sebagai tenaga tingkat menengah sesuai dengan kompetensi dalam
