SUBJECT: ESTIMATES OF HOUSES FALLING IN THE CORRIDOR OF 500KV


NEELUM-JHELUM T/LINE FROM TOWER NO.1 TO 57 (LOT-II)

It is pointed out that these estimates are prepared by the Building department of AJK. The
1. standard procedure adopted in the NTDC is that the houses estimates are prepared
from the Wapda Composite Schdule. But as already pointed out from para 1-8, the
owners have refused to get hosue compensation based on WCSR-2013 and
threatened to stop the work. Therefore, the estimates prepared by the Building
department of AJK and submitted by Dy. Commiisor are vetted keeping in view of
2. urgency of work. It is also pointed out that the project associated with the Neelum
Jhelum Hydropower Project, the same practice have been followed.
While reviewing the estimates, it was noted that 21% profit/tax and depreciation cost of the
houses have not been deducted by the building department of AJK. The same
situation was discussed by the Chief Engineer (EHV-I) on 12-05-2017 in the office
3. of Manager (Design) Civil. In reply, a minutes of meeting (F/A) have been provided
wherein it was mutually agreed by Dy. Commissionor, AuTHRITY OF building
department AJK and NTDC FILED AUTHORITIES that profit/tax and deprecation
cost will not be deducted as no compnestion in repsect of land have been given to
the owners.
In the same context, the staimtes have been checked physically at site by Dy. Manager (Civil) and
Assistant Manager (Civil) of this office alongwith the concern field staff. In
response.
Keeping in view of the situation at para 17-19, the estimated of 49 Nos. houses fallinf in the
Neelum-Jhelum T/Line From Tower No. 1 to 57 (Lot-II) are technically vetted for
4. the amount of Rs. . The House estimate for individual owenrs are as under.
