2. Simple Past Tense

Kalimat Aktif:

Father reads newspaper every day.

(Ayah membaca koran setiap hari.)

Newspaper is read by father every day.

3. Past Continuous Tense

Rumus:

1. Aktif: S+ was/were+ (V1+ing)+ O

2. Pasif: O+ was/were+ being+ verb 3+ by+ S

Contoh:
Aktif :

was cooking the rice

The security was helping the customer when the thief came into the bank.

Pasif :

The rice was being cooked by me

The customer was being helped by the security when the thief came into the bank.

Rumus:

2. Pasif: O+ had+ been+ verb 3+ by+ S

She had opened the door

Pasif :

The door had been opened by her

5. Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Rumus:

1. Aktif: S+ had+ been+ (V1+ing)+ O

2. Pasif: O+ had+ been+ being+ verb 3+ by+ S

Aktif :

They had been learning english since 2011

The Chef had been preparing the dinners for three years before he moved to Swiss.

Pasif :

English had been being learned by them since 2011

The dinners had been being prepared by the Chef for three years before he moved to Swiss.

6. Past Future Tense

Rumus:

1. Aktif: S+ would+ verb 1+ O

2. Pasif: O+ would be+ verb 3+ by+ S

7. Past Future Continuous Tense
