3.0 DESIGN PRINCIPLES

1)The design of building should meet the requirements of Safety and

reliability, technological advance, elegant appearance and economic rationality besides
application requirements.
2) The architectural design of the buildings shall meet the requirements of process flow,
arrangement of equipment and facilities, construction and installation, working and
operation, repair and maintenance.
3) The selection of building materials should be optimized according to the local natural
(climate, etc), and social conditions (construction ,etc). Local resources should be used
as much as possible. The durability, practical principles and the fire and explosion

prevention requirements must be followed.

4.0 BUILDING FIREPROOFING

4.1 Fire compartment

Fireproofing of buildings are satisfy with Part 3 of INBC, IPS-E-CE-260 Engineering

Standard for Fireproofing , IPS-E-SF-380 Fire Protection in Buildings and the Life
Safety Code (NFPA 101).
Every building is a fire compartment, the area of which is showed in unit drawing. Each
building have two or three safety exit.

4.2 The buildings fire resistance rating

The fire resistance rating of all buildings is 2 hour rating.

4.3 Safety Principle Of Interior Decoration

The Interior Finish should satisfy Chapter 10 of the Building Construction and Safety
Code (NFPA 5000).
The fire resistance rating of decoration materials should be considered in decoration
design.

4.4 Fire doors and fire windows

Fire-resistance rating of steel fire door and fire window is 1.5 hour rating. All fire doors
should fix door closer, Double-leaf fire doors need door closer and gravity arm door
selector, hold-open fire doors need signal control close and feedback device.
The fire door satisfies the Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Door Assemblies
(NFPA252). The fire window satisfies the Standard on Fire Tests for window and Glass
Block Assemblies (NFPA257).
