Percussion Division in the School of Music

POSITION: Graduate Teaching Assistantship in Percussion for 2018-2019.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching Percussion Methods and Non-major Applied Percussion; managing the
Percussion Division instrument and equipment inventory. Additional duties may include coaching chamber
percussion ensembles, as assigned.

DEGREES AVAILABLE: The Illinois School of Music offers the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts
degrees in Percussion Performance. In Music Education, the School of Music offers the Master of Music
Education and the Doctor of Philosophy in Music Education.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADUATE DEGREES IN MUSIC: Admission to the University of Illinois


Graduate School and admission to the School of Music.

STIPEND: In addition to a waiver of all tuition (in-state and out-of-state), the stipend for this Graduate
Teaching Assistantship is approximately $8,200 for the academic year (nine months).
