WRITING ACTIVITY #2

1) Describe your neighborhood and your house (parts of the house and furniture).
Choose a person and describe his/her neighborhood and house.

My neighborhood and my house

I live in Uruguay. My neighborhood is small. There is a shopping center , There are three
public schools . There is a big supermarket. There are two squares. There are many stores
car parts stores ,candy shop, furniture stores and so on. There are many bakeries too. There is
pizza places.
I live a house. In my house theres a living room, a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms
and there is a backyard. In my living room there is a big mirror, two armchairs, two puff and
two sofas, I love . In my bedroom theres a bed, a desk, a tv and wardrobe,in my kitchen there
is a the fridge, there is a stove, there is a stove, my house is very comfortable and cozy!

My girlfriends neighborhood and house

My girlfriends name is Thain. She lives in Bonfim. She likes her neighborhood, because the
people is very friendly. In Bonfim, there are good school for kids and teenagers. For exemplo,
in the private education network there are Anlise, So Jos and Senhor do Bonfim. And the
public education network have the Colgio da Polcia Militar. In her neighborhood, there a
few drugstores. But, in the Caminho de Areia, neighborhood near the Bonfim, there are a
bunch of drugstores. I believe there are eight drugtstore in total. Besides that, in Caminho de
Areia, there is a big supermarket called Atakarejo, a grocery called Hiperfrango and some
snack bars. However, the most interesting place in Bonfim, definitely is the Bonfims Church,
which is a tourist spot known all over the world.
Thain lives in a house. There is a balcony, a living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a
big kitchen. And outside, has a garage and another balcony. There are many plants, because
her mother loves plants and flowers. In Thains bedroom there is a single bed, a TV, a desk
(her computer, printer and telephone), a big mirror, a picture of your graduation and her
wardrobe. In her bedroom there was also a bookcase, which I made for her. She has many
books.

My friends neighborhood and house

My friends name is Daniel. He lives in Iguatemi. He loves his neighborhood, because is a
interesting place for live and work. In Iguatemi, there is a large shopping center. Theres a
mall called Shopping da Bahia, it is the oldest big mall in Salvador. Daniel usually go to
Burguer King, because he loves fast food restaurants. There are a lot of banks in the principal
street, like Santander, Bradesco and Banco do Brasil. When he and his family need some
money, they can pass on bank, because is very close to his house.
Daniel lives in an apartament. There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a
laundry room and living room. In Daniels laundry room theres a whashing machine, a dryer,
basket of dirty clothes and shelves for products like soap and clothes preacher. In his
bedroom, there is a bunk bed for he and his brother. Besides that, theres a computer, a chair, a
shelves for books and miniature colletion. I think Daniels house is very cool.
