Article Claims Pakistani Nukes Safe, Other Countries' Facing Threats

Article by Ibn-e Shamsi: "Insecure Nuclear Assets of US, India and Israel" -- All Words Within
Single Quotation Marks, As Published.

Making intensifying terrorism in the country as legitimacy, the foreign media is engaged in a
massive propaganda against Pakistan's nuclear assets as being insecure. Specifically, the US
media is very active in this campaign. Whenever they get a chance, they start misguiding the
world. It is a very dangerous conspiracy against the Pakistani nuclear assets plotted by the
Christian and the Jewish media through so-called scholars, which are stressing upon the need for
seizing these 'insecure' assets and transferring them to the 'safe' locations in the western countries
and the United States.

Now it is an open secret that US troops are closing in on Pakistan's nuclear assets under the
cover of Blackwater (Xe) [as published] and DynCorp. Two years ago Fredrick W Kagan, a
scholar of the US Enterprises Institute presented a plan in the name of 'Series of Scenario' in
which it was said that in case of instability in Pakistan, special troops comprising British Elite
Force and US military should be formed in order to snatch the weapons from extremists and
safely transfer them to stores in New Mexico, in case the terrorists succeed in getting access to
nuclear assets.

Undoubtedly, Pakistani nuclear assets are a thorn in the eyes of the United States, India and
Israel. These vicious forces do not muster up courage to take direct against Pakistan due to these
assets. Hence, they are hell-bent on eliminating these Pakistani assets on some other excuse.

It is commendable that the Command and Control System set up by the Pakistan Army to
safeguard these assets is one based on the latest parameters as compared to all other countries in
the Nuclear Club. The international security nuclear experts have acknowledged this too.
Pakistani nuclear weapons are in safe hands under the supervision of Strategic Plan Division
(SPD) [as published] and it is impossible for even the United States, Israel and India to have
access to them, what to talk of a few terrorists.

Those raising eyebrows on the security of Pakistani nuclear assets are perhaps ignorant about the
same in their own countries, as many incidents of theft of uranium and other sensitive
installations have taken place besides several other accidents. Their nuclear weapons are also
facing threats such as terrorism and sabotage. The firing incident took place in the US city of
Fort Hood on 5 November 2009 has exposed its claims regarding security. The tragedy of 9/11 is
also the greatest example of its security agencies' failure.

Similarly, terror incidents in the United Kingdom and other European countries also seem to
negate their foolproof security arrangements. As far as India is concerned, the militants belong to
Naxalbari and Maoist groups could capture its nuclear assets at any time.

The reports have also surfaced on several occasions that the terrorists are preparing to attack its
nuclear installations located in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Due to the
same reason, Indian Defense Ministry issued orders on 16 November 2009 of increased vigilance
and patrol of forces around its nuclear installations to cope with any impending threat.

Similarly several cases regarding theft of the nuclear weapons in other countries have taken
place. According to the record of International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA], as many as 275
cases of uranium smuggling have been reported from the Soviet states.

In 1994, seven Slovakian smugglers were arrested in a bid to smuggle 3kg uranium from the
Czech Republic. In 2003, Slovakian police arrested a man Brono with 3kg of uranium who was
trying to smuggle it from the Soviet States. Two Hungarian and a Ukrainian citizen were also
arrested by the Slovakian police on Slovakian-Ukrainian border and took into custody Uranium
worth $1.5 million from their possession they were taking to sell. These incidents are on the
record, while there would several, which have never been reported.

In this backdrop, negative attitude only toward Pakistan is enough to expose the US designs.
Hence, we would have to remain even more vigilant along with increasing out security around us
in this backdrop.
