Introduction

Welcome to the

Vanavil
Chemicals

Vanavil Projects &Services is a Engineering

service company with its sole focus on providing
projects and services to help customers operate
reverse osmosis systems more efficiently and
economically. To this end, we have developed
products and services that focus on the needs of the
membrane separations customer who deserves a
technological leader to set the standard in dynamic
chemical formulations.

With over 5 years of combined experience in the

membrane separations industry, Vanavil Projects
&Services the employees offer a tremendous value
added resource. This expertise, combined with cost
effective, practical solutions, allows us to work with
our customers to achieve optimum system
performance.
Selecting the right Vanavil Chemicals is an important
step to optimizing the operation of a membrane system.
Identifying membrane foulants and developing a cleaning
procedure specific to the fouling characteristics of your
system can maximize the effectiveness of a membrane
clean and may even reduce cleaning frequencies.

The Cleaning chemical selection should be based on feed

water chemistry, membrane system operating parameters,
and pretreatment design. With this information, the
Vanavil Chemicals Advisor program will choose
the correct product and dosage for your membrane system .
When to Clean Membranes

"There are many ways to foul a membrane system...and

only one solution, Vanavil chemicals!

In normal operation, suspended solids,

microorganisms and mineral scale can foul the
membrane in reverse osmosis elements. These
deposits build up during operation and cause loss in
water output or salt rejection, or both. Elements
should be cleaned whenever the normalized water
output rate drops by 15% from its initial flow rate
(the flow rate established during the first 24 to 48
hours of operation) or when salt content in the
product water rises noticeably.

It should be noted that the water output rate would

drop if feed water temperature decreases (see
Temperature Correction). This is normal and does
not indicate membrane fouling.

Vanavil
Chemicals Bioclean RO 7801

The Bioclean RO 7801 line of cleaning chemical was specifically

formulated for the membrane separations industry. These formulations
have special features such as superior Bio organics control,
compatibility with other chemicals used on membrane systems, and
superior dispersant capabilities to minimize Bio fouling.

All of the formulations were thoroughly tested and "CERTIFIED AS

MEMBRANE COMPATIBLE".
