EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
India, like other economic sector in the country, cosmetics (pimples cream) industry is one of the
major sectors which contribute to the national economy. The report tried to furnish the overview of
the performances of cosmetic (pimples cream) industry sector in india. The report has also shown the
overall picture of the cosmetics industry market and opportunities in vasat viahr New Delhi.
International brands play a dominant role in the upper-end market of India, where quality ranks above
pricing among the factors affecting purchasing decisions.

INTRODUCTION
Acne vulgaris or just Acne is a skin issue, wherein your dead skin cells and oil block your
pores. Many people term them as zits, pimples, blemishes, whiteheads or blackheads. A few
pimples or just red spots are the mild kind of acne.

In case you are confronted with the onslaught of severe acne, that means that your face, back,
chest, neck get covered with 100s of pimples. Or, these pimples may become bigger and turn
solid red lumps, similar to cysts that are very painful.

The acne onslaught is usual among adolescents when they are undergoing
the puberty process. It generally gets cured as you cross the teenage. Some females who do
not get acne while growing up may experience it as they attain adulthood, just prior to the

The causes of Acne

Acne begins if dead skin cells and oil block the pores of the skin. If microorganisms or
germs enter into the pores, they may cause pus, redness and swelling.

For most of the people, acne begins during the adolescence or teenage. This is simply
because with the onset of puberty, hormonal imbalance takes place and the skin becomes
oily.

The use of oil-based cosmetic products worsens the acne condition. The teenagers are advised
to use only organic cosmetic products that do not block your skin pores. These products
declare on the label that they are non-comedogenic. (new life, 2017)

Symptoms of Acne

The symptoms of Acne may include the appearance of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
These may appear on the face, back, chest, shoulders and even neck. In case you notice deep
and large pimples, they are known as cystic lesions. If the cystic lesions get infected, they
may scar your skin. (new life, 2017)

Treatment of Acne

In order to control your acne, you are advised to keep your skin neat and clean. Avoid the use
of cosmetics that may block your pores. Look around for non-comedogenic labeled
cosmetic products for your use. (new life, 2017)

MARKET SHARE: The anti-acne market in India, the size of which is estimated at Rs130
crore and growing at the rate of 14% annually. This was reported sometime during 2009, it
would perhaps be now as per the growth standards to somewhere around Rs.168.94 or Rs.169

Vasant vihar Delhi is one of the emerging markets for the pimples cream where the 55% of
teenage girls uses the pimple cream. Whereas the maximum Market share is covered by the
HUL and other by the rest of the players.
