2.Unbecoming behavior
Four pupils were identified for displaying
very bad behaviour. Out of the four
pupils identified for unbecoming
behaviour, two have completely
changed for the better while two are
showing a slight improvement.
2. Late coming
Six pupils were identified for perpetual
late coming. After enrolling in the SDO
programme, two out of five are never
late for school.
3. Cleanliness
Five pupils were identified for poor
personal hygiene, characterized by
coming to school in dirty uniform,
uncombed hair, unpolished shoes and
impressed uniform. Currently their
general appearance has improved
tremendously and they are
encouraged to keep up the standard.

3. The committee has been trained on
AR and cascading is ongoing.

4. Training on COMP 101 was


undertaken which was assisted by
BUIST. Over 500 teachers from
Serowe, Moiyabana, Mahalapye,
Palapye and Tswapong teachers
registered from both primary and
secondary schools. 302 set for
examinations and passed.

The training boosted the number of


schools participating in ICT Regional
fair.

Home The programme started in St. Gabriel Primary School. It is a


remedial collaborative strategy for performance improvement which involves
strategy the teacher, child and the parent.

The programme makes parents and learners to reach consensus


on how they will both record and monitor the childs progress.

A total of 93 teachers from St Gabriels Primary , Makolo Primary,


Simon Ratshosa Primary, Moiyabana Primary, Mmashoro Primary,
Serowe Central Primary and Metsimasweu JSS. St. Gabriels
Primary did not have standard 7 classes for the past 2 years and
registered 85% ABC.
Even though Makolo Primary and Simon Ratshosa dropped by
4% and 3.2% respectively, the schools are still excelling with
Makolo Primary at 88.6% and Simon Ratshosa at 90.7%. Serowe
Central Primary also improved slightly from 81% ABC in 2015 to
81.3% ABC in the year 2016.

However, Mmashoro Primary School is the only school


implementing the programme and still performs below 50%. The
school scored 35.4% ABC in 2015 and 2016. The regional plan is
to roll out to other schools in the region and effectively monitor
the programme.
