You should go through the installation guide for each of the applications (EP/ECC) which has
the post installation steps in detail.

Hi,

But the Small baby should tell me that the kind of sweet he likes.

Like what is the functionality that you want to activate on the portal. I have added some of the
activities and would be easy to start with.

Some of the common steps that you need to do is

A)Try to access NWA.

Note 1451753 - Filtering administration requests for AS Java

B)Install license

Open SAP NetWeaver Administrator in a browser, entering http:// (http://)<host>:<port>/nwa .

2. Choose Configuration Infrastructure Licenses.

The system data you need to request the license from the SAP Service Marketplace is
displayed:
Software product

System ID

System number (if it exists)

Installation number (if it exists)

Hardware key

3. You can find information about applying for an SAP license key in the SAP Service

Marketplace under the/licensekey quick link:

C)SSO with Portal and the backend

Download the certs from portal and import the certs in the STRUSTSS02.

D)Ume Congura#on on the portal.

If you need to keep the ume to backend.

E)Setting up SLD in Nw 7.31 system.

Need to decide if you need to keep if you need to keep it local SLD ore point to central sld.

F) Try to update the Local sld if you want to have local sld.

Update CIm and Cr Content use the below note.

Note 669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository

G) Try to configure system landscape for the ECC system.

A MUST READ WHEN YOU EXECUTE STEP G) . You must understand how EP is integrated with backend. You must decide to

What id did you use.

7 of 17 7/8/17, 10:45 PM
How to connect IDES ECC 6.0 to Enterprise Portal https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3455053

Dont use administrator,

Use a user that exists in both backend and portal.

Hope that the certs of the portal have been installed in the backend strustsso2 in acl and cert list in the client 800.

Please use fully qualified host name rather than ip address.

Check that the two parameters is set in backend.

login/accept_sso2_ticket 1
login/create_sso2_ticket 1

Hope you have defined the alias in system landscape.

Thanks

You need to download the certs from portal and apply them in the backend.

Check the below doc to download and apply the cert in backend.

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30194a02-1988-2d10-e9b8-

/uuid/30194a02-1988-2d10-e9b8-e8e28f3846a7?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true)

How can i create another id Except administrator and assigned proper role that ID.

Just copy administrator to your id named as your id in backend.

Then just login to the portal and try connection test as you did earlier.

Thanks

Hi Debasis

You can follow the Note.

761917 System template definitions: examples for SAP systems

Important Note , The connection test will not work properly if you did not follow the note

Read this extract from the Note

"It is recomended to define UIDPW, just to verify that the connection is working"

so even if you have configured a successfull SSO between Portal and Backend (ECC)

the connection test will not work if you donot set "Logon Method" to UIDPW in the "user management" category .

Note that it is only for testing purpose . For productive usage you have to change that to

You are talking about configuration steps to supply data in to SLD. It is completely different

What i was taking about through Note 761917 is backend integration to enterprise portal

Below given the reference

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/8eab6e86ba3cb8e10000000a42189d
/content.htm?frameset=/en/4a/ded71e279f4fa5870eb80b36019044/frameset.htm (http://help.sap.com

/ded71e279f4fa5870eb80b36019044/frameset.htm)

I was talking about the scenario where we configure system objects in portal to connect to backend
systems

Then we use the iviews from the templates to consume the backend applications
(transactions,webdynpro abap applications,bsp etc)

willing to run gui on portal are develop

My suggestion is that close the post and
