1. What is the difference between general linguistic system of language and learners
specific language performance?
The first one is about grammar rules and structures learners need to know and use to produce
language or to acquire it, the type of strategies students use in according to their learning
styles to rise the learning process goal. The second one is how they show language skills and
tools learners choose for language performance in any context.
3. Describe Interlanguage and give an example from your own teaching experience or
while learning a language? (do not copy a definition from the Manual).
Interlanguage is the type of language, or linguistic system, used by second- and foreign-
language learners who are in the process of learning a target language. Is kind of the route a
learner takes when he/she is expressing ideas, making dialogues, expositing activities and
writing activities in according to a process of a SLA.
An example, when students try to speak a second language, they transfer or use the
influence of the first language. The Spanglish uses in the Mexican border cities, is a type of
language that mixes grammar, rules and phonic from Spanish and American language.
