Victoria, I am pleased to offer you conditional admission beginning in
September 2017.

This offer is conditional upon receipt of all required documentation and meeting
the minimum standards (courses and grades) as outlined below. It is your
responsibility to ensure that all conditions of your admission have been met no
later than August 1st. This includes any courses that you may be completing via
on-line/distance education.

students who are offered admission during their graduating year. Several
conditions need to be completed before June 30th in order to take advantage of
this opportunity. Please visit Residence Services for further information.

Please read this email carefully. The Admission summary and Important
notes sections below provide all the details about the program you are being
offered, as well as your current status and the conditions you must
meet. Instructions listed under Next steps explain how to reserve your seat at
UVic and get started with the registration process. If you have any questions
about your offer, please contact me as soon as possible.

The faculty, staff and students at UVic hope that you will find your studies here

www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams/tsw/tsw/student/welcome.jsp to provide your

International Baccalaureate Organization.
Status of Your Academic Writing Requirement (AWR): Status to be
determined upon receipt of a final official grade in English 12. Most students will
select ENGL 135, 146 or 147 to complete the Academic Writing Requirement.
However, you may also benefit from registering in a preparatory class prior to
completing your required course. For more information and to access the self-
placement questionnaire, see www.uvic.ca/awr or consult your advisor.

Next steps

Now that youve been admitted, there are a number of steps that you must follow
starting with letting us know if you plan to attend UVic. To confirm, you must
submit a $200 acceptance deposit no later than June 1st. Note that paying
your deposit is the only thing you need to do to accept your offer. Admitted,
what's next? provides these instructions and all the other preparation details you
need to begin your studies at UVic.

To confirm your offer and access the registration system, the acceptance deposit
must be received by the Tuition Fee Office by the deadline. This deposit is non-
refundable, however it will be credited toward your tuition fees. It can be paid
via internet banking through your banking institution set up the payee as the
University of Victoria Tuition Fees and the account number is your student
number (V00XXXXXX, as shown above). Additional payment options are
outlined on the Accounting Services webpage. Tuition enquiries should be
directed to tuition@uvic.ca or (250) 721-7032.

Before you can register you will need a NetLink ID. You can sign up for your
UVic NetLink account. Your NetLink ID will give you access to My Page where
you will register for classes. It is important to remember that enrolment in most
courses is limited and that admission to the university does not guarantee entry
to specific courses.

Registration for September and January courses begins in late June. A pre-
registration email with further information will be sent to you in late May.

This is your official admission letter. A paper copy will not be issued. Please retain for
your records.
