"Amur Tiger | Species | WWF." World Wildlife Fund. N.p., 2017. Web. 12 Oct. 2017.
This website has great information regarding all three-species covered in my topic.
Specifically, I choose the amur tiger, the most endangered animal in my topic, to gain more
information and knowledge from this website. It gives facts about threats towards their species
involving their habitat and how humans impact tigers everyday lives. Also, they go over why
this specific species matters to the environment, and how humans can avoid harming the
species and other ways to protect them. When researching the Amur Tigers, they had another
article attached to it that consisted of a thirteen-page peer reviewed article about the threats of
the specie. This website was extremely useful with facts but it also talks about how this
organization helps the specific species. Showing that communities help out on a daily basis
may influence other people to help protect their habitats, raise public awareness, and other
ways to protect the amur tiger species. The reliability of this source is high due to their
written by them, on the threats of the amur tiger. You can look up any endangered or extinct
species on this website and get a factual overview on each one, along with a well-developed
article going more in depth about their endangerment. When researching my topic, WWF came
up a lot on search browsers and other search engines. This means its the most used website,
which stood out and encouraged me to look more into it. This source not only had a website
published by an association but also had scholarly articles to back up their information within
the website.
Photograph Joel Sartore, National Geographic Photo Ark. "Red Panda | National Geographic."
This popular website provides information regarding red pandas endangerment and basic
facts. This source also has photos and videos about the animals in their habitat. The pictures
help understands the environments they live in, while the videos give you a short visual on
how they function and how they react to certain environments. Even though they do not go
into extreme detail this website is relatively good for the basic information about this specific
species. The basic information provided includes diet, size, endangerment status, and the
average life span. They go into more detail when talking about their habitats/behavior, and
their population/breeding. When looking at the website it is very visual, giving many videos
and common topic pages to venture off to for more information on red pandas. This source is
good for the basic information I will need when talking about this specific specie and
background information pertaining to their endangerment. This source is a website but also is
a television show, making it more prone to bias information. Although, National Geographic
does a good job by not stating opinions and just sticking to the factual information on the
endangerment of this specie. Even though there is not much information besides the basics this
website will become useful when searching for specific information on not only red pandas,
"Polar Bear." The National Wildlife Federation. N.p., 2017. Web. 12 Oct. 2017.
This article caries with information about the polar bear species, mainly involving their
endangerment and why they are on the verge of extinction. The article is separated into sections
of topics such as range, conservation, life history, behavior, diet, and description. Not only
does the articles give a lot of information on polar bears but, it also talks in depth about how
humans are affecting the endangerment of polar bears, which is a big part of my topic. A video
is also provided after the article on the conservation of polar bears. Videos are always good to

get a sense of their environment and behaviors. The more information gathered, the better
research will be when discussing the relationship between endangered animals and humans
effects on them. The layout of the articles and website are also very helpful to organize
information and thoughts. This has been a very useful website/article for my research on the
polar bear species and becoming more aware of their behaviors/environment. This source is
very reliable considering they have their own video regarding the species and have done their
own research and observations. There is no room for bias information regarding the topic,
everything is factual information and all the information has been proven.
Slater, Graham J. et al. "Biomechanical Consequences Of Rapid Evolution In The Polar Bear
Lineage." PLOS One, Tenth Aniversery. N.p., 2017. Web. 11 Oct. 2017.
This journal article has an immense amount of information on the polar bear species
regarding information about their size, bite force, stress levels, methods of observing these
animals, and discussions. They touch on the evolution of the polar bears jaws due to change
in their environment while tying it into the issue of global climate change threatening this
specie. This helps create a better understanding of the animals with in depth information on
how they work in their environment. Everything in the article is backed up with result and
diagrams showing the information. Many PowerPoints are provided, in each section, to go
farther in depth with certain topics. This source is a very reliable scholarly article and will
have a lot of information that will make my research better. Reviewing the references of the
article, all fifty-two references are scholarly peer reviewed. On the top of the article it also
has a section for comments and related content on their website; this can help gain more
information if needed for my research. This will become very useful to my research as it

progresses with information concerning human impacts (global climate change) and why the
