Post Lesson Reflection

1. To what extent were lesson objectives achieved? (Utilize assessment data to justify your level of achievement)

I feel as if my lesson objectives were set a bit too low because all except one student completed the entire problem set with 100% correct answers
by the end of class. It was awesome to see students self-evaluating themselves with the worksheet as well and checking answers with group
members and comparing their processes if they got different answers. Because of this, students were able to achieve 100% correctness with their
problems, and some even completed them in enough time to attempt the problems with angles which I didnt teach but was simply an application
of some concepts theyve already learned. During the whole class discussion a lot of students seemed confused with variables, but after the
practice, they seemed a lot more comfortable with plugging in and solving different scenarios using the formulas. Because of time, many of the
students didnt get to finish and swap their challenge problems, so unfortunately I cannot assess based on my objective to what extent that was
achieved, but from what I saw as they started the problems, they had a pretty good grasp on the material.

2. What changes, omissions, or additions to the lesson would you make if you were to teach again?

Overall, I am pretty happy with the structure of the lesson and students were achieving the objectives set so I would try to build some more time for
students to complete their self-generated problems and swap them with other groups. I would make a bigger deal out of those too and perhaps
have them write their final problems up on butcher paper and then once other groups post theirs up around the room, they can go and solve them.
This reminds me of my math teacher who would have problems written all over the whiteboards around the room by the end of class and pointed it
out excitedly and said were surrounded by math! so by having students post up their problems and work wed get surrounded by physics and I
think thats even more awesome.

3. What do you envision for the next lesson? (Continued practice, reteach content, etc.)
The next lesson, I envision that the kids would be ready to move into a lab where they get to apply what they know about momentum and
synthesize it. After that, they could have a pretty easy transition into angular momentum and rotational momentum because its the same thing but
with different variables. Overall, I was impressed with how easily the students achieved the objectives and how much fun they seemed to be
having, especially during the anticipatory set. I will never forget the boys outside running into the exercise ball but taking measurements and
collecting data for it.
