The disparities in pay and compensation among similar comparable faculty positions may
give rise to demoralization and dissension among the ranks of faculty members and
further complicate the process compensation administration in the college. Hence, this
will pave way to the development and adoption of a Common Criteria Evaluation (CCE)
across programs and disciplines which aimed to rationalize academic ranks and salaries
in the college.
COVERAGE
This Position Classification and Compensation Scheme For Faculty Positions (PCCSFP)
covers all teaching positions involved in instruction, research and extension activities in
the Philippine College of Ministry.
All faculty members, who are formally engaged in actual teaching service and/or
research assignments, either on full-time or part-time basis, shall be considered as
members of the faculty of PCM.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Full-time faculty members are those who carry a regular teaching load and/or
other assigned duties. They are expected to devote their full working day to
the school and are paid on regular monthly basis.
Part-time faculty members are those who are hired for a specific teaching
load on a contractual basis per semester.

RANKING
The quota for the rank of Professor shall be 10% of the total number of faculty positions
of PCM.
ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is a screening process for validating the eligibility of a faculty candidate to
the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The process involves written exams and
interviews, particularly on substantive issues/ questions related to the field of
specialization/ discipline of the candidate.
An Accreditation Panel shall be constituted and shall be composed of the following:

Vice Chairman: VP for Academic Affairs/ Academic Dean

2 Members of PCM BOT
1 Faculty Member
- CCE points of at least 66 for the higher sub-rank of the Instructor position and
at least 88 for the Assistant Professor position;
- Earned MA degree for Assistant Professor II to IV;
2. An applicant who fails in the accreditation process including those who qualify as
Professors but are in excess of the quota for Professor ranks shall be appointed
to the position of Associate Professor V.
2. An applicant who fails in the accreditation process including those who qualify as
Professors but are in excess of the quota for Professor ranks shall be appointed
to the position of Associate Professor VI.
