Disclaimer: This FAQ should be about done. At the end of this, you should have a basic
understanding of how to play the game, as well as what the important buttons in the game are.
Please remember to check the written FAQ at the bottom of this document as well.

The old navigation screenshots were outdated so I decided to remake this for the MHXR sub-reddit
discord. I will respect the owner and OP and will keep the original typesets and will be changing if they
are changed in-game. Any added or changed content will be highlighted with this color.

This is the main screen you will see. Press start to proceed and some announcements like active events,
rewards, and bingo percentage will popup.

As of the recent update you no longer need to make a Capcom Online Games account to save/transfer
your data.

gems to make the cats return instantly.

Every banner has a daily discount for instant return (5 gems only) for
the first attempt. Any succeeding instant return from then will cost 15
gems.

The Hunter card shows your hunter ID. This is also where you can view your stats and

Active Skills

You can save up to 10 sets for use. Tap and hold a piece of equipment to check its stats and/or
tag it as important.
-You will get an extra set loadout slot at HR 100,200 and so on.
-Dont forget that companions can use your equipment. Their sets are bound to the current
loadout. So, 1 loadout = 1 set for you and your companion.

Weapons and armor tagged as important will have a special rainbow sticker on the top left of
their picture. This prevents them from being accidentally sold.
Note that all weapons require a certain amount of element points to unlock their special skill.

Each piece of armor may or may not contain element points which help to unlock a weapons
special skills.
They may also come with a special passive skill that takes effect just from equipping them. Note
that some armor pieces lack passive skills.

Note that the first time you attempt to buy gems, a window will appear asking for your age. The
amount of gems you can purchase is restricted by how old you are. If you answer that you are
over 20 years old, you will have an unlimited gem purchase limit.

The event shown above is the quest that provides new equipment as rewards. Aside from
equipment quests, there are also material quests as well as timed event quests (which provide
stronger equipment but require a much higher Hunter Rank)

Multiplayer

Solo 2-4 Multiplayer

(optional companion/palicoes)

This screen appears after selecting a quest in the events tab. You can choose to go solo to hunt
the monster with reduced hp, or go with other players to hunt together.

If you ever suffer a disconnect, the game should let you continue the hunt with the AI
controlling the other hunters, whilst reducing the boss monsters hp to its single player version.
This usually results in very easy clears (unless its some insane boss like event high rank stuff)

Multiplayer (2)

Sometimes the quick join option gives an error as someone filled up the room just before you
could join it. Just dismiss it and try again.

For playing with friends, have them tell you their room number at the top right of the screen
and type it in after selecting to join a room with a specific number.

This menu shows when creating a room.

The room search options open up 3 choices: the first allows your room to be joined via quick
join, the second does not allow people who are using quick join to join your room. The final
option makes your room private for playing with friends.

Only the host can check room information. The button beside check request rewards is for
inviting a player/friend into your room. Seems to be buggy as heck though...

Autoplay recharges after a certain period of time. You get 3 free uses per day. They cost 2 gems
per use after that.

The in-quest chat only works in multiplayer, and has fixed phrases for you to choose from. (No
free chat like in lobby) If you dont know what any of those mean (like me), just dont bother
saying anything.

Trust me, you do NOT want to tick that option to disable normal movement. It will only allow
you to move through rolling, and that is a crazy big handicap.
