Informational Tasks

1- Look more closely at the instructions that the teacher gives while introducing
the learning centers:
If possible, video/pictures or audio record the teacher while she gives
instructions.
Write the sentences of the instructions that the teacher gives.
According to my MST, she said, Zip your mouth, hold your hand, eyes on me

Write your own instructions for one of your own lesson plans.
I used to get children attention before I say the activities instructions 1, 2,3 all eyes
on me and if I felt I lost my class attention I run the bell and said, Are you
listening?

2- Describe the purpose of diagnostic assessment.

A) Identify the diagnostic tests the teacher uses in your TP placement. These
might be check lists, written observations. Photograph blank diagnostics,
scan, print and or upload to your e-portfolio.

From what I observed, I saw my MST applied different type of diagnostic tests such as
take photos to share it with parent group in WhatsApp, collecting children work and
put it in their E-portfolio files also, she used checklist every Monday that include
schedule of all children names and options of abilities if the child achieved this ability
she put tick in their names. For example, the lesson about count from 1 to 5 and the
one if learning objectives was matched the quantity of the object to the number that
corresponds to volume and the child has the ability to match, the teacher put the tick
beside in his name.
3- Classroom Management

1. Describe two times when your classroom management was successful. Describe
the situation, learning objective and what the students were doing. Why was
your management successful?

There are two strategies I used with Kg2 children which are worked with them. Firstly,
I applied eye contact with observed children and keep involved them. I realize who
success it because it's helped me to get children attention also, to keep children
discipline. For example, when I was talking Reshed was hit his friend consequently, I
keep watched him hence he felt shy and stop it. I will use this method in future
because it gives children indirect massage without disturbance other children.

Secondly, I implemented positive reinforcement strategies that worked by rewarded


children who did the good behavior. For example, when Diam answered and
participate I give her start as a consequence she repeats same behavior which
answering.

2. Describe something you would like to improve about your classroom


management (using routines, giving instructions, dealing with disruptive
behavior, managing groups,) Give suggestions (or talk to your MST or MCT) to
improve your classroom management.

For next time, I will give children clear instructions about the activities because when I
taught math lesson and I give children matching activity without giving them the
instructions they were wondering what they must do as a consequence, they were
playing with materials without implementing the activity that really wrested lesson
time.
